AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I WAS SO CLOSE TO GETTING CAUGHT. DAMN IT I SHOULD HAVE JUST REVEALED MYSELF RIGHT THERE BUT THE WAY HE SAID , "Aren't we supposed to be friends" MADE ME FEEL SO GUILTY I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FACE HIM THE NEXT TIME WE MEET.

I watched as Kurapika walked away. Damn, I hate myself. I could have just spoken up but I was too wimpy. Now, I made it so hard for me to confess. I just know one day Kurapika's gonna find out I'm Y/N. His reaction would make me feel so sad. I bet he's still suspicious of me too.

I got texts from Neon back. She basically said she expected this and just told me we'll go shopping as soon as possible so I could meet up with Kurapika. She even predicted my future! I felt so defeated in every way.

I went to Neon's house and we went shopping. Both of us bought clothes and we took a quick turn to a cafe to get some food and then I had to leave. That was one of the fastest shopping sprees I've ever been on. What annoyed me was that there were posters of me everywhere. Everywhere I turned, there was a missing poster of me and I panicked every time I saw those. Is this what it's like being a criminal?

After I said goodbye to Neon, I went to the hotel that Kurapika told me to meet him at. When I got there, Kurapika was standing outside the hotel.

"That was fast, I expected you to not come just a few hours after I told you to meet me here."

"Be grateful I finished it quickly." I was sort of mad. I literally speed run that shopping trip to not be late and this is what I get?

Kurapika laughed at me and said a "I'm sorry." Before laughing again. When he finally stopped laughing, we both went inside to rent the hotel.

"Are you two renting a room together?"

"Yes, a hotel with two beds would be nice thanks." If there's one bed I have a bigger chance of sleeping on the floor and I'm not doing that.

"Oh, you both aren't together together?" The clerk winked at me.

"Together together? What do you mean?" I looked at Kurapika and he whispered to me.

"I think she means if we're a couple or something" Kurapika turned and said to the clerk, "No, we're just here on business."

"Oh, what kind of business😏"

I whispered to Kurapika, "do you think she's getting the wrong impression? How could she think we're together we're both boys"

The clerk seemed to hear me say that and she jumped up, "Boys can be in a relationship too, you know?! You two look great together! It's such a shame both of you aren't in a relationship." She pretended to sniff and cry.

This is madness. Either the clerk was high or she really just always thinks this way. I thought Kurapika would think the same as me but when I turned he was blushing! Come to think of it, I've never seen him blush lately. The last time I saw him blush was when we played with Pairo.

Kurapika realized he was blushing and turned away. So now I was the only sane one trying to get a room. We eventually got the room and it became super awkward.

I tried starting a conversation ."So, what was that about."

"I don't know. I've never imagined myself with a partner in life. Mom used to tell me to get a good partner some day but I only thought of one person."

That's sad. I did remember Pairo and Kurapika used to talk about some girls in the Kurta clan. What if he thought of someone but they died?!? I pat Kurapika's head.

Kurapika looked shocked. He quickly grabbed my hand and stared straight at me.

"You're hands, they're just like Y/N's"

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"You know, I can't stop lying anymore, I still am suspicious that you're Y/N."

"There a lot of people in the world, maybe mines are just similar;;"

Kurapika let go. "Sorry, I jumped to conclusions again."

I tried changing the subject as soon as possible. "Do you know about nen? It's crucial to capturing the Phantom Troupe."

"Nen? I've never heard of it."

"I'm not a master but nen is a technique that allows a living being to use and manipulate their own life energy. It's more known as aura. The research I did on them before I did the Hunter exam said that the Phantom troupe members have nen. That's most likely how they're so strong. I never got any more information on nen, though, because I needed a hunter license to access the websites."

"Let's go research about that. We both have a hunter license so it's best to learn this "nen" as soon as possible."
