Boy Next Door: A Kio Cyr Story

12- Everything Changes

You woke up in a panic still wrapped in Kio's arms. You looked around the room, scared that Riley had seen you, but the room was empty.

Kio: *looking around confused, half asleep*
"It's fine. She won't even be home until after 3."

You: "Kio! It's 3 now!!"

Kio: *jumping up*
"Oh crap. Did I fall asleep? Last time I checked it was only midnight."

He checked his phone and breathed a sigh of relief as he showed you the text he got from Riley.

You: "Well that's great but my anxiety shift made sure I'm wide awake."

Kio: "Let's watch a movie then?"

You: "Sure, but we better move to the living room so that doesn't happen again."

Kio plopped on the couch next to you with a bowl of popcorn and started a movie. It was a creepy film and normally you loved those, but your nerves were on edge so the two of you just joked around and talked with the movie playing in the background.

Kio: "I just think you're going soft. You used to be able to watch scary movies anytime."

You: *hitting him in shoulder*
"Really? Going soft?"

He shocked you by grabbing you the second you hit him and pushing you back to pin you down. The last time you play-fought like this, you were still stronger than him. You were surprised by the summersaults your stomach did as you breathed hard below him pretending to fight him off. He paused above you and for a moment it felt like he was thinking about kissing you. You weren't in the right frame of mind to curve him, so you reached down and started tickling his sides until he let go and curled up laughing.

Kio: *still laughing*
"Oh, you are such a brat."

You: *faking being offended*
"I am NOT! Besides when the hell did you get muscles?"

Kio: "Uhhh, puberty?"

You laughed but tossed a few pieces of popcorn in his face to ease the tension building. He grabbed the bowl and threw an entire handful into your hair as you fought to get the bowl back. He held it behind his back as you were chest to chest trying to reach it. He looked you dead in your eyes with a smile that was way hotter than it had any right to be as you realized your lips were inches apart. He obviously realized it too because before you could stop him, he took a deep breath and pressed his lips against yours.

You shocked yourself by not pulling away. He dropped the popcorn bowl and pulled you onto him as he laid back. You had always wondered what it'd be like to kiss him, but even you were shocked how good his hands on your back felt as he tilted his head and placed another kiss against your lips. He unexpectedly moved his hands down your back until they pushed inside of your back jean pockets and squeezed. You were so shocked by the moves of this kid that you gasped.

He took the opportunity when your lips opened slightly to gasp, to slip his tongue into your mouth. It danced against yours and forced you to completely melt into the kiss. You found yourself getting way too into the feel of his body under yours and sat up suddenly pretending you heard a noise upstairs.

You: "I'll stay down here to wait for Ry, but you should go upstairs before anyone catches us."

Kio: "I'll just sleep on the floor, but I'm not going to leave you down here alone. Who knows when she'll actually show up."
