EVELYN WAKES AT FIRST LIGHT. She isn't sure why, but she's had a long night of rest and she cannot fall asleep as much as she would like to. It's warm. And it while it was not the most comfortable to sleep on the floor on a couple of old sleeping bags , with Abby's arm around her, that hardly matters. She's still very much asleep, completely knocked out from yesterday's adventures. Lev too. Yara, however, is not in the room. Evelyn does not worry at the sight of her missing, but rather figures she must have either moved on her own, or been helped by Owen and Mel during the night. They did mention her bandages would have to be changed.

She carefully slips out of Abby's hold and tiptoes out of the room, silently closing the door behind her. The aquarium is quiet at this hour, but not eerie like in the evenings but rather, quite still and peaceful once the sun is out to brighten up the place.

There's a sickening feeling in her stomach which Evelyn can't shake, a knot as if anticipating something terrible. But this morning is so calm and quiet, she wonders why that could possibly be.

Walking out into the main area, Evelyn starts to feel a chill. She glances up at the sky through the broken roof. It's a bleak gray, dark clouds slowly drifting by. A storm is on the rise, as Abby said last night. Fuck. Leaving now maybe isn't such a good idea at all — if a storm is coming.

"You're up early." Owen's voice catches her attention. He's coming toward her from the boat, wiping his hands on an old towel. Seems like he's been working on the boat for a while, probably preparing to leave today.

She narrows her eyes at him, unsure if he was being sarcastic or not. "How early is it?"

"Earlier than you're usually up," he raises a humorous brow before he looks up at the sky to try and determine, but also by deductive reasoning based on how long he's been awake. "No but it's like nine, probably."

Evelyn glances toward the operating room. "Yara's okay?"

"Yeah," he nods, looking rather surprised at the fact. To be fair, everyone has been on edge since yesterday about her health. Evelyn too. She's just glad to hear she's good. "Mel is in there changing her bandages as we speak."

She exhales a breath of relief, mostly on Abby's behalf because lord knows how she would feel if the girl didn't make it through the night. "That's good."
