WHEN SHE WAKES IN THE MORNING, the sun is out. Strong winds blow snow up against the large windows and cloud cover the blue skies, but it's bright and its blaring to her eyes. Groaning, Evelyn sits up in her sleeping bag, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Her head is lightly throbbing as a consequence of what she had to drink last night, but she ignores it just as she always does. The lack of sleeping bodies around her tell her that she may have slept in a bit.

Slowly, everything comes back to her. Trying to sing Manny's stupid spanish song, downing very diluted shots with Leah and then there was Abby. God, she felt crazy in the moment, insane to be reading into it as much as she did but even now, she can't push those thoughts away. It was doomed to catch up with her eventually, but she had expected it to come later than sooner. Evelyn likes to see herself a well prepared being, more than ready to face problems because she can see them from miles away, but caught in the middle of all of they are doing right now, she hadn't anticipated this sudden surge of feelings blooming inside of her all over again. Feelings she locked away as august turned to september.

She gets up, pulling her hoodie on over the tank top she always sleeps in, softly stumbling over the sleeping bodies around her into the kitchen to find some sort of breakfast. Owen and Mel are stood at the end of the room having a hushed and what seems to be rather heated discussion. They don't seem to notice her.

"Morning," Evelyn says sheepishly from the doorway. They immediately go quiet, looking at her awkwardly. Mel looks at Owen one last time, anger and frustration written all over her features before she leaves the room.

Evelyn throws a glance at Mel as she wordlessly passes her by. "What was that all about?" She frowns as she approaches her brother. He sighs in annoyance.

"Nothing," he waves it off.

"That was not nothing," she looks at him, trying to read his expression. "But I don't really care about your relationship drama, so I won't ask again. Have you seen, Abby, though?"

         "She's out, why?"

"I need to- what do you mean out?" She asks, eyebrows drawn together in confusion. Something about that doesn't sit right with her, the weather outside isn't exactly kind. They don't just split up like that. This entire trip they've gone in twos everywhere, so why the hell would she be out there alone?
