The Order of the Phoenix was gathered around the table at Number 12, Grimmauld place. It was safe to say that most of the order was present since some were squished into the table while some stood to the sides of the room. Although, Snape and McGonagall couldn't attend, since they were professors at Hogwarts.
Dumbledore sat at the head of the table as always, while Alexis sat in the chair near the fireplace like she did when she first came to Grimmauld Place.
The meeting went on, and Alexis simply sat in her chair quietly.
"We think Sturgis Podmore has been imperio'd by you-know-who," Mad-eye said roughly while sipping tea from his teacup. Alexis furrowed her brows and listened to the conversation that was growing. "He didn't show up at Kings Cross, and then he tried to break into the Department of Mysteries. He has six months in Azkaban."
"I heard," Kingsley said loudly. "They're being stingy about the whole situation and not letting anyone investigate him." Tonks scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"He wouldn't speak on his behalf either. So they decided to just dump him into Azkaban," Tonks said also sipping some tea.
There was a momentary silence for everyone sympathizing with Sturgis Podmore.
"Why would they choose him?" Spoke up Alexis, slightly startling some people. "Unspeakables have better access to the Department of Mysteries. If I wanted to get a job done quick and easy, I would use the thing closest to it."
"You're saying that the Deatheaters might know that Sturgis was in The Order?" Mrs.Weasley asked with her hand placed onto her cheek.
Alexis furrowed her brows again. "I don't know. But we can't rule it out, because it's a possibility. They're either being really risky, or they targeted him specifically."
Dumbledore nodded, "Right. Kingsley, Alastor, and Tonks, can you guys try and look into it at the Aurors office or contacts you have in the Department of Mysteries?"
The three nodded, while Tonks gave a warm smile to Alexis.
"So Alexis," Dumbledore said suddenly, causing Alexis to snap her head towards him. "Anything strange happening with Harry?"
"mm his scar has been hurting recently."
Sirius nodded, "He sent me a letter stating that his scar started hurting again during detention with that woman, Umbridge."
"Oh Right, his detention," said Alexis snapping her fingers. She caught the attention of everyone, Dumbledore and Sirius looked at her curiously. "He hasn't told you?" Everyone furrowed their brows and shook their heads.
"Oh Merlin," Alexis sighed and rubbed her temples. "During his detention—" she stopped and thought about it for a second, not knowing if she wanted to tell Dumbledore this. "Umbridge made him do lines. The quill that she made him use was—different."
"What do you mean by different?" Sirius asked curiously.
She took in a deep breath, prepared herself for the commotion, and began her sentence. "It carved the lines into his skin."
As expected, everyone made an outraged cry.
"WHAT!" Sirius screamed.
"WHO WOULD DO THAT TO A CHILD?" Mrs. Weasley shrieked.
"You have to do something!" Sirius yelled to Dumbledore.
Dumbledore sat in his seat with furrowed brows but eventually spoke up, "I will handle it." Everyone knew that Dumbledore couldn't really do much. The Ministry was already all on Dumbledore, if he went to Fudge he would just brush it off. If he confronted Umbridge, she would go straight to Fudge.
Alexis knew he was stuck, so she changed the subject.
"I have an idea." Everyone turned their heads towards her, but her eyes were fixated completely on Dumbledore. He turned his head to face her.
"What is it?"
"I just need you to trust me." Her eyes were pleading, she just needed his trust and that's it. Dumbledore stared for a bit, before slowly nodding. Alexis let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "I'll see you guys later."
She started walking towards the front door. Everyone was left confused. Tonks got up from the table and walked out into the hallway with her.
"Why aren't you apparating?" Tonks asked once she caught up with Alexis.
"I'm taking my bike." Alexis took out her bike keys from her pocket. "Don't worry, I'll go back to Hogwarts later."
Tonks nodded and waved her off. Alexis walked out the front door, she got on and rode to the alleyway she was at last time.
She apparated and landed in front of Magic Motor and Others. Alexis got off her bike and went inside.
"Welcome! How can I—" Helio turned around and was met with Alexis. "What now? Broke one of your knives?"
"Actually no." Alexis walked towards him with a smirk. Helio stumbled a bit and suddenly came to reality. "I heard you were in the hospital. Seems like you recovered quite nicely."
Helio opened his mouth to speak but instead went with a small nod.
"What?" Alexis lifted her hands to her shoulders and shrugged.
"I know why you're here."
"Do you now?" She sat on the counter and met Helios' eyes.
"Yes."
"Oh okay. Well, let me get to the point then." She got down from the counter and walked up to Helio. He was taller than her by a lot, so much so, that she had to look up to talk to him. "I'm using one of my favors."
Helios' hand slipped from the counter he was leaning on as he finally stood up straight.
"W-what is it?" He stuttered out.
"Don't look so scared, geez. I swear it's not that bad." Alexis took her finger and pushed his chin down so that his eyes met hers. "At least if you die, it probably won't be painful."
