CALUM SMOKING

I really don't wanna talk about Calum smoking bc it does make my heart ache but I am going to bc I would like to clarify my opinion on it.

A lot of you probably know already that Calum has been found smoking recently. A lot of very recent photos feature Calum holding a cigarette, and some are of him smoking.

Now, I fully understand/ agree that Calum is pretty much an adult and it is his life so therefore he gets to choose what he does with it and how he lives it. Of course it is his own decision to make and it isn't right for us to hate him for doing something like this.

(Do you remember when the video of Louis and Zayn smoking weed was released? The reaction among Directioners varied- some thought it was just them having fun but some people got really upset about it)

My emotions about Calum smoking are mixed.

Although I do agree that it is his choice and he can do what he wants, I ALSO HOPE SINCERELY THAT THIS IS JUST A VERY SHORT PHASE THAT HE IS GOING THROUGH AND ONE THAT WILL SOON BE OVER.

In the long-term, smoking will cause serious damage to anyone's health and we are all aware of the risks associated with smoking. Tumours form in your lungs bc of the excessive amount of tar and nicotine which eventually lead to lung cancer.

THIS ISN'T TFIOS CALUM, IT ISN'T JUST A METAPHOR. YOU ARE GIVING IT THE POWER TO DESTROY YOU. :((

CALUM HAS GOT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VOICE OUT OF EVERYBODY ON THE ENTIRE FREAKING PLANET AND IF HE CARRIES ON SMOKING IT WON'T IMPROVE IT, I ASSURE YOU.

yOU DID FUCKING NOT. Smoking is noT A JOKE and you aren't MEANT to do it to look fucking attractive. I know somebody somebody who used to smoke & let me tell you that they are in a state where they can no longer do anything. Not even speak.

Loads of people are talking about how they are just kids so obviously they are gonna wanna have fun and do stuff like this.

So fucking wHAT if everybody smokes nowadays? Doesn't make it an excuse for you to AND IT DOES NOT NOT NOT MEAN THAT IT IS OKAY.

I feel like crying right now bc (please don't hate me for saying this), I do sort of feel that Calum is taking too much advantage of his rights. You could even call it abusing them.

Legally, he can drink. He can smoke. But he is so young and drinking so much and smoking at this age could ruin his entire future.

But literally all that I have seen him do in recent photos is drinking/clubbing/partying/smoking. And here I have to reiterate that I totally appreciate that it is his life and he can choose what he wants to do but I'm just worried okay? Because I love him so much and I don't want the band to.. fall out... just bc of this.

Calum is my sunshine & I love him so so much but I just hope that this stops and it isn't a permanent thing.

Okay so it is 23:55 rn and I am wondering whether or not I should read more of the Calum fanfiction that somebody has got me addicted to or go to sleep.
