Chapter 7: Ice cream and cool girls.

"Hey Miranda! Where were you?! For about ten minutes! Where were you?!" Nicki said annoyed. "Sorry Nicki, my cousin and I were just texting each other. You know I don't get to see my cousins too much." Said Miranda. "Yeah yeah, whatever." Nicki said annoyed. "What's wrong? Why are you acting so cranky?" Miranda asked. "I AM NOT CRANKY!!!! There's been rumours around the school that things will change here forever. I'm too nervous! I don't know what I'll do if things will change!" Nicki said upset. "Nicki, people just want to be popular. But if things do change. It doesn't mean you're all alone. We're all in this together!" Said Miranda. "Thanks Miranda. You're the best." Nicki said smiling. "Let's go before anyone sees us." Said Miranda. "Okay." Said Nicki. 2 hours later.... "Miranda! Come over here! Let's sit in our usual spot before someone takes it!" Nicki said annoyed. "Ok ok. Let's go. Hey nicks what do you have for lunch?" Miranda asked. "Oooh! I have sushi! How about you?" Nicki asked "well since you asked, I have fettuccine, mozzarella sticks and a Gatorade!" Miranda said excitingly. "Omg!!!! You are so lucky!!!" Nicki said jealous. "I know right!!" Miranda said excitingly. Nicki frowned. "What's wrong Nics?" Miranda asked. "Uhh.. Ummm.. Do you uhh.. Know those girls?" Nicki asked frustrated. "No. Why? You a scaredy cat? Ok, ok. Never mind. I am scared!!!" Said miranda. "Move." Said a long brunette. "Uhh.. What?" Miranda asked. "I said move brats! My entourage and I are going to sit here!!! Now move brats!!!" Said the long brunette. "Excuse me? We are not brats. What's your name? And what's the big idea? Huh?" Miranda asked. "Miranda I don't think that's a good ide- "no Nicki. I'm not going to let them treat us like that. I want them to tell me why." Miranda interrupted. "Excuse me?! You don't know who I am? I'm the school changer!!! I'm Geneva!! And this is my entourage!" Geneva said furiously. "What? Geneva? Not ringing a bell. We don't care who you are. We got here first and we're staying." Miranda said jokingly. "Fine. But this isn't the end! Btw, there is someone I want you to meet." Said Geneva. Suddenly, there was a girl with brown long curled hair. With a blue tube top, ripped jeans, black toms, a bow, crystal earrings, bangle bracelets, and some aviator glasses. "Who's that?!" Nicki asked surprised. "Meet Naila 2.0! Or should I say... Natalia. She is so cool. So cute and so fab!" Geneva said excitingly. Miranda was speechless. "Naila 2.0? Impossible." Said miranda. "Oh it's possible. Say goodbye to naila. Say hello to Natalia or Natalie. Btw, she's not your bff." Said Geneva. Then Naila came and stand right in front of miranda. "It's true bff. Oops. Or should I say... Miranda. you and Nicki are all alone. Too bad." Said Naila. "Naila? Why would you betray us?" Miranda asked confused. "Woah there missy. You guys betrayed me. You didn't care if I had a problem. So when Geneva came, she asked me if I wanted to be in her entourage and I said yes. Btw: Geneva helped me be with Nathan. So now we're bf and gf. Like that. That's what we call the Geneva way. I shouldn't be talking to these wannabes anyway. Toodles." Said Naila. "That's it!! It's time for you to go toodles now!! Arghhh!!!" Nicki said angrily. Then, Nicki was going to tackle Naila but Naila walked away and Nicki fell on the ground and bumped her head. "Nicki!!! Oh my gosh. Let's get you to the nurse. Nicki? Can you hear me?!" Miranda said panicking. "Uh huh.. My.. Head hurts..." Nicki said with a weak voice. "GUYS!!! NATHAN!!!!! ED!!!! DANE!!! What the heck?! Help me carry Naila to the nurse!!!! "Naila! Oh my gosh." Said Nathan. Suddenly, the nurse came and carried Naila to the nurses office.

"Ring!" "Ok class, tomorrow we will be making a diorama of a place in California. Please no copying or ruining other peoples work. It is unprofessional and you will have to give them your diorama and you will fail. Ok. I heard the bell. Remember, tomorrow you will have to think of an idea. Class dismissed. Wait!!! It's due next Friday!! Aughh teenagers." Said mrs. Mendoza. "Mrs. Mendoza?" Miranda asked. "Yes miss Jensen? I'm listening." Said mrs. Mendoza. "I heard you. It's due on Friday." Said miranda. "Really?! Thank you for listening to me speak. You are my best student. Don't tell anyone that." Said mrs. Mendoza. "I won't. Promise. Bye!" Said miranda. "Bye!" Said mrs. Mendoza. "Ring ring!" "Huh? Oh it's mom.

Hello? Mom why are you calling?

Sorry sweetheart. I was just wondering what time I should pick you up.

Oh umm let me see... How about 3:45? Is that okay with you?

Yeah sure honey. Uhh why 3:45? Is there something you have to do?

Yeah. It's going to be quick though. Wait, Is Charlie coming with us?

"Okay let me go see Nicki if she's ok." Said Miranda.
"Knock knock" "hello? Nurse Lisa? Could I come in?" Miranda asked. "Of course miranda. Are you here to see Nicki?" The nurse asked. "Um yeah." Said Miranda. The nurse stood up and led Miranda to Nicki. "She's concious now. I think I should leave you two alone. I'll be in my office if you need me." Said the nurse. "Ok. Thanks nurse Lisa." Said Miranda. "My pleasure." Said the nurse. Miranda began to sob. "I I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to get you hurt. She was just being rude and I just wanted to stand up to her. Instead, I made you get hurt. I'm so sorry." Miranda whispered. Suddenly, Nicki's hand was moving! "Miranda, it's not your fault. It was Naila's. I guess it's just you and me. We're not bffs with her anymore. Stop crying. Your making me emotional." Said Nicki. Miranda started to laugh. "Hey... Your okay? I thought you would be in a..." Said Miranda. "In a coma? Nah. There's way too much things going on in the school. Plus, I just hit my head on the school ground. I didn't really fall from thousands of feet." Said Nicki. "Ummm... Nicki. I need to go. My mom said she's picking me up at 3:45 and it's already 3:47. I have to go. I hope you'll get better! Bye." Said Miranda. "Oh ok. It's fine. Bye." Said Nicki. "Beep beep!" "Aughh. Doesn't she know I'm coming? Never mind." Said Miranda. "Hi honey! Ready to go?" Her mom asked. "Of course I am." Said Miranda. "Then let's go!" Her mom yelled. Then, Miranda turned on the radio. "Honey? What's that song?" Her mom asked. "Mom. It's Me and My Girls. By fifth harmony? My voice is on got my favourite pj's on times like this don't always come around. Haha." Miranda sang. "Ok. I'll give it a try." Her mom said. "And we play are favourite songs and we scream out all night long like. Oooh oh. When it's just Me and My Girl!" They said in unison. 10 minutes later... "Well we're here." Her mom said. "At the mall?" Miranda asked. "Sure honey. I did say we're going out for ice cream. But that doesn't mean we can't do anything else. Plus, I saved up some extra money from the last 2 years!" Her mom said excitingly. "Shhh.. How much?" Miranda whispered. "Well... 1500$ it's a lot. So shop all you want. There's still 11 000$ in the bank. We're not that poor." Her mom whispered. "Medium?" Miranda asked. "Medium." Her mom said. "mom! Look at these cute tops! Let's get them! Oooh there's some coloured jeans! Perfect. Should I get earrings? I should. Some scarves too! All accessories!!" Miranda said excitingly. "Miranda what are you looking at?" Her mom asked. Miranda pointed her finger to the Apple Store. "Mom? Can I get a new phone? I really want one. Please please please please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. " Miranda asked. "Well, ok. But one condition: don't let anyone use your phone. Unless it's an emergency." Her mom said. "Ok. Deal!" Miranda said. "I'll buy you an iPhone 4." Her mom said. "Ok." Miranda said.

20 minutes later...

"What's taking her so long? I should call her." Miranda said.

Hello? Mom? What's taking you so long?

"Mom!!! Finally. Now give me my phone." Miranda said. "Ok sweetie. Here you go." Her mom said handing Miranda the bag. Miranda was confused "Mom, why is the bag so big?" Miranda asked. Her mom smiled. "Open the bag." Her mom said. "Ok." Miranda said. Miranda opened the bag and she found a iPhone 6 plus! "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh!!!! You bought me an iPhone 6 plus!!! I though you were going to buy me an iPhone 4? Wait a minute. You were joking!! You didn't want me to know you were buying it!!! Thanks mom!!! Your totally the best!" Miranda said excitingly. "Your welcome honey. Now let's go for ice cream. But before that, let's go eat at the food court." Her mom said. "Ok." Said Miranda. "Mmm! This poutine is delicious and the orange smoothie is so tasty!" Miranda said. "Let's go." Her mom said.

15 minutes later....

"Mmm. Ice cream taste so good. I love chocolate fudge sundaes." Miranda said. "Let's go home I'm tired and it's almost 7:00." Her mom said. "Ok. Let's go." Miranda said. 30 minutes later... "I'm so tired. Good night mom." Said Miranda. "Good night sweetie." Her mom said.
