Sister Rochelle takes away my empty plate and cup, then leaves. Sister Annabelle then walks in with...
Jaxton.
"Jaxton!" I say excitedly. "Johnson! I missed you!" He says. He was about to run to me but Sister Annabelle grabs him. "Don't run up to him or hug him. He is very fragile right now. He has to stay in here for a few more days until the stitches do their thing."
"Roger that, Sister."
She looks over at me, and then walks to a door that leads to the other room. She opens it and goes inside, shutting the door behind her. "I wonder what's in that room? Probably the morgue!" Jaxton says. He looks at me and smiles. He approaches me and sits at the foot of the bed. "I was so worried last night. You passed out and I thought you died. I started crying until a nurse told me you were fine." He starts frowning.
I didn't reply to what he said. I just looked at Jaxton. I feel so bad. "I started crying even harder when they had to take you away from me. You were bleeding so much.." His voice croaks at the end of his sentence. He clears his throat. "I was surprised and relieved to hear that you were fine."
I smile at him. "Of course, I'm fine." We both just smile at each other. "I didn't know your last name was Davis."
"Who told you that?"
"Sister Annabelle."
"Ohh. My bad for not introducing myself. Hi, my name is Jaxton Davis. I am a twenty-four year old gay man that really really likes this one guy but I'm not sure if he's gay so I keep my mouth shut."
I start laughing. "Your turn, Johnson."
"Oh, uh, okay. Nice to meet you. My name is Johnson Miller and I'm a twenty-six year old gay man that arrived at this asylum to better myself. Only to find two weirdos inside who drag me from place to place because they think I don't move quickly enough."
Jaxton laughs. "It's true. You don't move fast enough."
"That's because I don't feel the need to."
"You should!"
We're both quiet for a moment. "...Jaxton. Do you think the raid is going to continue?"
"Possibly. They might start to force people to drink holy water now."
"If the raid happens again tonight, promise me you'll be safe?"
"Of course, hun. Marissa and I are planning on staying in the dorms if a raid happens again. There's a high chance the cannibals won't be trying to come for us."
"Smart plan. Also, did you just call me 'hun'?"
Jaxton smirks at me. "Maybe..."
"I like it! It's cute. Just like you."
Jaxton gives me a quick kiss on the lips. "Good morning, dears! Today we are having a holy activity today! Head upstairs to the east library! We are going to read you all a story!"
"Ugh. I have to go. Goodbye, hun!"
My heart flutters hearing him say that. "Bye!" He waves goodbye and exits the infirmary. I really hope I leave the infirmary soon. I'm kind of worried about how him and Marissa will do during the next raid...
