It's been four days. There has been many raids in those past four days. Nurses are now starting to force people to drink their holy water. I don't blame them though. I don't want anymore raids happening. I've been discharged from the infirmary and prescribed painkillers. I keep them in my pocket so I don't lose them. Jaxton and Marissa were really happy for me to be discharged. I was pretty happy too. My shoulder still hurts, but I try not to pay attention to the pain. Jaxton and I are in the library right now. He's showing me his favorite book. It's a book about seafood. He told me he's always wanted to make seafood, but wasn't allowed to because his mom was allergic to it. Sucks for her I guess.

"Do you think there will be more raids?" I ask. "Yup. I'm counting on it. People are starting to pretend that they have drank their holy water now." Jaxton says, turning a page in his book.

"Oh god.."

"Don't worry! We're all going to be okay!"

"I love that about you. You always try to be positive, Jaxton."

"That's because being negative all the time, especially in a place like this, does no good for me. For anyone. So, I always try to be positive!"

He flips another page in his book. "I'm worried about being out of the infirmary. Being in there kept me safe from all of the cannibals.." I say. Jaxton looks up from his book and stares at me with worry. "What if I get hurt again? Last time was just too close. I could've died..."

"That was my fault." Jaxton says. "I will never let that happen again, okay?"

I shake my head. "It wasn't your fault. Don't say that. You don't control these horrible creatures."

"Still... I felt like I had to protect you at all costs, and I failed that a few days ago.."

"Don't blame yourself, okay? It was chaos. Everybody was being hectic. Plus, you literally threw the cannibal off of me. That was pretty brave of you considering these things can tear into people."

Jaxton laughs and then smirks. "Yeah, I'm a total badass. Be lucky you're dating me." He says. I laugh too. It was pretty brave of him to throw a cannibalistic monster across a room. I wouldn't dare to touch them. They're always bloody and trying to eat you alive.

I still worry though. I don't want another raid to happen. We all almost died a few nights ago. I know a few people were hurt. Those past four days were terrifying. Every morning I would see new people come in either on a stretcher under a blanket, or being carried by nurses and laid on the bed. It was scary knowing that many people are getting hurt..

Maybe it'll be different tonight? Who knows?
