Let's take this time out of our day to applaud how insane I am. If you don't feel like applauding then you can snap veraciously. We can start with the fact that I was down for going on a walk in a city I don't know with someone I hardly know. Then I went out knowingly, when there are mythological beasts that I know little to nothing about trying to kill and probably eat me. Or just dance over my dead body, because yay for murder! Lastly, I allowed the same guy who got me into this mess to drag me over the side of high ledge without any resistance.

As we fell, I closed my eyes, burying my face in his neck. I was used to the feeling of freefall but sheer panic engulfed my insides, I almost started crying. This might also have been due to the fact that I was pretty I would die in about .8 seconds.

My thought process consisted of: 'Holy shit I'm gonna die. Holy shit I'm gonna die.'

Then I felt Bash's hands wrap tightly around my body his hands at my waist and I became very aware of how tightly we were pressed together.

My thought process shifted to; 'Holy Shit there is a hot guy touching me on purpose. Holy shit there is a hot buy touching me on purpose.'

I opened my eyes to confirm that this was, in fact, happening and just as I did that I noticed that we were feet from hitting the ground. I shut my eyes tight and braced for impact.

But it never came, at the point where we were supposed to hit the ground everything suddenly went cold. I opened my eyes and then wondered if I had actually opened them because there was nothing but blackness. My hair was whipping around as if we were still falling and I could feel the momentum in my stomach but I couldn't see any movement.

Next thing I know, there is a bright flash of light and water floods around me. I choke on it, once again getting that feeling of burning as it enter my nose and goes down my throat. I swim to the surface and sputter in pain for a few seconds. It is then that I realize Bash isn't there and I look into the water to see him thrashing but not going anywhere.

I dive down, grabbing him by the collar and kicking up to the surface.

As we break into the open air, he coughs out water and I drag him to the side of the pool, throwing him on to the side.

He rolls to his knees and spends the next few minutes coughing desperately.

"What the hell, man?" I snap at him, smacking him on the shoulder.

"I'm sorry, it was the only place I knew that could cushion our fall," he responded through the sputtering.

We were back at Olympus, in the pool. Nobody else was there so I wasn't afraid to reprimand him.

"But you obviously can't swim!" I scolded.

"I was willing to take that risk," he said, "Knowing that you can."

"Hmm, yeah? And how did you know that? We could've both drowned."

"You said you do swim team every summer," he responded softly.

"1-! Yes, yeah I did," I was about to yell at him for assuming things but I recalled our earlier situation, "You saved us, twice. Thanks. How did you do that? What was that?"

"I can use the shadow dimension as a portal. Anywhere there is shadow there is a gateway, but I have to be careful because unknown monsters lurk in there and they could've pulled us down to Tuataras," he explained.

"Fun," I replied, recognizing Tuataras as meaning 'not good place'.

He whipped his hair around, the obsidian black strands flopping down over his forehead awkwardly.
