"How about we walk to class together?" Evelyn asked
Though it did sound like a good idea, I guess I'll just go with it.
"sure" I told her
Evelyn stood up and took my hand pulling me up. She looked at me with a smiling face and then pulled me along inside the school once again. We walked through the main hall, I was focused on looking at the the numbers on the lockers and walls for classrooms. Evelyn decided it would be better to get to our lockers first and be familiar with them. Stopping In front of Evelyns first she smiled and told me to go find mine, and to meet up at the bathrooms in the hall to the left of the main hall.
I wandered off through the halls looking at the locker numbers until I found mine, it was so far from Evelyns and was a long walk. I began playing with the code until the door bumped open. It was a pale grey locker, and was just small enough to fit a jacket or two in there. Thankfully it was somewhere near my height. I was taking my jacket off and setting it inside when I heard the lock besides my locker moving around. I looked at the locker, a pale hand had been moving the nob. I stiffened, setting my jacket inside, and anything else I won't need. I shut the door and then hurried off to the main hall to meet Evelyn.
I had been spooked enough by the fact that the boy by the tree had a locker next to mine. I was to much in a hurry and had slammed my head into The wall, just missing Evelyn.
"Mira...?" She asked
I rubbed my head and then faced Evelyn
"I'm ok.."
"Why were you running? You ran like a axe Murderer was chasing you." She said
"To get here quickly!"
It didn't feel good lying to her.
"Oh, well you sure were fast then. How'd it go with the locker?" Evelyn asked.
"o-oh that- good!" I stuttered first but then managed to let out.
Evelyn smiled and then brought me close to her for a hug. She rested my head on her chest then laughed and smiled. She was so sweet, and kind and loving. I loved her personality and attitude. I envied her for it, it must be nice. And I'm just the popular girls loser best friend.
"let's get your face washed up first." Evelyn said, as she pulled me in the girls bathroom.
Evelyn stood In front of me , she was turning on the water in the sink and wetting a handkerchief. She ringed the extra water out and smiled. She had taken my glasses off and cleaned off my face, I had a few scratches from running into the wall and falling. Other than that I was ok. Evelyn set the handkerchief under the hand dryer until it was dry enough to go back in her pocket.
Taking my hand in hers Evelyn then guided me to our first class.I sat down in one of the empty seats, Evelyn took one also, but the only open one was close to the front. Mine was in the back, and thankfully by the window. As time passed I hadn't recognized that it was already the end of class. Evelyn and I had different second classes, so this was where we parted ways.
Everything was going fine until I saw that boy again. He caught me looking at him after he woke up from his nap at the desk during our break. I only turned my head back and began scribbling on a piece of paper. Something about the boy didn't make me scared of him, but just curious.
