The last few days weren't anything special, the only thing (Y/N) wanted to do was go back to Hogwarts and see his friends.
"(Y/N), come on! You don't want to miss the train, we'll be in the car!" Adam yelled at the top of his lungs.
"Give me a minute Soot is being a snobby brat!" (Y/N) struggled to get Soot back in his cage and had the marks on his hands to prove it.
After closing the latch on her cage (Y/N) went to cover it with the shawl, all while Soot hissed at him. "You realise you get to see Hermione right? I'm sure she'll want to spend the entire train ride pampering you. So do me a favour and stop being such a brat."
Soot hissed, snarled and chewed on the cage. "It won't be long, I promise." (Y/N) placed the shawl around the cage and put the cage on top of his trunk. Walking downstairs and to the front door (Y/N) heard the voice of Claire. "Off to your little magic school are you?" She had put on a snarky tone .
"Yep and if you don't stop being annoying I'll curse you with a nose covered in warts." Claire gave a little gasp of shock, "You wouldn't." She covered her nose and (Y/N) turned to face her. "Ooooooh." He began to wave his hands, flutter his fingers and laughed as Claire darted up the stairs.
Walking out to the car he placed all his stuff in the trunk. Opening the door to the car he heard his parents having a hushed conversation, they stopped talking once (Y/N) got in the car. "Alright lets go." His dad and mum offered no response, "Dad? If you're not going to drive we'll miss the train." His dad got snapped out of his thoughts and mumbled a string of words (Y/N) couldn't hear.
...
The journey to King's Cross was one they made in absolute silence. Not a single one of them spoke the whole way. (Y/N) was to busy looking over Advanced Charms book, his dad and mum had their eyes glued to the road.
The same silence happened as the three of them walked in the station and were making
their way to Platform Nine and Three Quarters. It wasn't until they reached the platform that (Y/N) spoke, "You two don't have to come in." His parents looked at him bewildered and went to speak."Don't bother, you promised me you wouldn't try and stop me but it's clear you didn't mean it. I'll see you whenever the next time we break up is."
His parents made no objections and had pained expressions on their face. (Y/N) had nothing but spite in his tone and remained blank faced as he coldly said goodbye to them.
He walked through the wall and emerged on the other side.
Looks like Hermione and her parents haven't got here yet. I'll save us a compartment.
(Y/N) boarded the train and found himself an empty compartment. He pulled out his book and sat in silence until the door opened. Looking up he was expecting Hermione but was instead met by Neville. "Hiya (Y/N), mind if I sit here?" (Y/N) smiled and gestured for Neville to sit down, "Yeah come on in Neville."
The train started to pull away from the platform and began its journey to Hogwarts.
Where is Hermione?
The boys made conversation in the time that passed. Neville talked about his grandmother and his Christmas. He asked (Y/N) how his Christmas was but got no answer. "(Y/N), are you listening?" (Y/N) got up from his seat, "I'll be back in a minute."
(Y/N) opened then closed the door to the compartment and looked down the aisle. Sure enough he saw Dragon, he and his goons were tormenting a pair of twins who (Y/N) remembered from his party.
