The four of them still sat in the waiting room. It had been hours since the doctor had talked to Sam and Dean, and the mood in the room was like a bomb waiting to explode. Dean sat there bouncing his leg from anxiety. Jo had been wringing her hands and biting her nails the entire time. Sam sat with his head in his hands. Charlie watched all three of them wishing she could do something to take away their pain and anxiety. Finally the doctor walked back in. Dean and Jo ran towards him before anyone else could react, and upon seeing Dean coming towards him, the doctor took a step back.

"Your son is out of surgery. I want you all to understand that it was touch and go for a while, but we got the internal bleeding to stop. We did have to remove a kidney, but he can survive with just one, with no real issues at all. He also had a broken left leg, and three of his fingers were broken on his left hand, but he should recover just fine. He isn't awake right now, but he is out of ICU, so you may go back and see him if you would like." He told them all. By this time, Sam and Charlie had joined them, and all of them let out a sigh of relief and turned to one another, passing around hugs. Dean turned to the doctor and stepped forward to shake his hand, and the doctor took another step back.

Seeing the doctor's reaction, Dean stopped. "I uh, I guess I owe you an apology Doc. I was out of my head. I'm sorry for earlier." Dean said, holding his hand out, but not coming any closer. The doctor eyed him warily, and then smiled, stepping forward.

"All is forgiven, Mr. Winchester. I have to say, you sure do know how to motivate." He chuckled, shaking Dean's hand. "If the four of you would like to follow me, I will show you to Bobby's room."

He led them through the double doors, and into a 20x40 room. Bobby lay in the hospital bed with his eyes closed, and IV's running into his arms pumping the fluid needed to keep him hydrated and out of pain.

Dean and Jo went to one side of him while Charlie and Sam went to the other. Sam reached down and moved some hair out of his face. Now that he was cleaned up, they could see that he had been beaten up pretty badly. His left eye was black and blue, he had what looked like road rash going down his face on the right, and above his right eye there was also a gash that had been stitched shut. Dean clenched his fists, and ground his teeth.

"So help me God, I'm gonna kill the Son of a Bitch who did this to him." He said through clenched teeth.

"Right there with ya, Pops" Jo said, Dean gave her a look.

"Jo, you need to let me handle this" He told her.

"I told you-" She began, but Dean cut her off.

"Jo, I get it. He's your brother, more than that, he's your twin. But I do not want you putting yourself in danger too." He said. Jo scowled and crossed her arms, leaning against the wall.

"As if I've never been in danger before." She said, rolling her eyes. Dean straightened and looked at his daughter, a mixture of sadness and annoyance crossing his features. Before he could respond however, he was interrupted.

"Listen you two...quit...your bickering" Said a quiet voice from the bed. Jo rushed forward, and Dean turned to look at Bobby in surprise.

"Bobby!" Jo exclaimed, shoving her Dad out of the way to hug Bobby.

"Ooo! Ow! Careful, Jo..." Bobby reacted as Jo clung to him. Jo pulled back and looked at him with a smile.

"Bite me Bitch, you almost died on me! Don't ever do that again!" Jo exclaimed. Bobby scowled at her, then smiled.

"Stuff it Jerk. I'm a Winchester, I don't die that easy." He teased. Sam and Dean exchanged a glance at hearing their own banter come from the children, and then began laughing. Before long, everyone was laughing. Finally Bobby sobered. He turned to Charlie.

"Have, um, you told him?" He asked

"Yes, Bobby. Your Dad and I talked" She said. Sam looked from one to the other.

"Did I miss something?" Sam asked

Bobby turned to his Father. "Dad, it was them. They met up with me, as I was getting out of my car at the game store. They shoved me and knocked me down, and drug me around the side of the store where they wouldn't be seen. I threw a punch at one of them as I got up, then I tried to walk away. I didn't want to fight them, but when I turned, one of them pulled a knife and stabbed me. Then they threw me to the ground and started kicking me, and punching me. The one with the knife broke my leg, and another one stomped on my fingers. They threw me in my car, and dumped me in the woods near the park" He told them.  As he spoke, he re-lived the attack, tears streaming down his face. Dean moved closer and got down to his son's level, running a soothing hand through his hair.

"It's okay Bobby, it's over, and you're alive." He said soothingly. Then he looked at his brother, who's face was etched with anger. Dean's face mimicked his brother's.

"I will kill these son's of bitches!" Dean growled.

No one noticed Jo, standing a little ways back from her Father as Bobby told his story. No one noticed her eyes light up with rage, or the lights in the room flicker just slightly, and no one noticed her quietly step from the room without a word. Only now did Charlie happen to glance around and realize that Jo was gone.

"Uh, guys...where's Jo? She asked, they all turned, looking around as if she was suddenly going to pop out of hiding. Charlie checked the bathroom. Jo was no where to be found. Bobby spoke up.

"Guys, she isn't here. She went after them." He stated. Fear crossed Dean's features, and he and Sam shot into action.

"Charlie, stay with Bobby please. Sam, let's go!" Dean said, bolting out the door.

Jumping into the car, Sam turned to Dean. "What are we up against here?" He asked

"Three human boys, and a pissed off Angel child who doesn't have her powers under control yet!" Dean said.

"These were just humans that attacked Bobby??" Sam asked in surprise.

"Yes. At least, as far I know." Dean responded. Sam looked out his window in thought.

"I should call Cas" Dean said, pulling out his phone and dialing Cas's number. As soon as Cas answered, Dean was talking.

"Cas! Jo went off the reservation!" He exclaimed, and then explained to Cas everything that had happened that day.

"Any idea where she might go?" Cas asked

"The park" Dean said

"Okay, I'll try to head her off" Cas said

Dean thanked him and hung up the phone.

Fifteen minutes later Sam and Dean arrived at the park. Cas ran up to the car as they pulled in.

"Dean! I can't find her, I don't think she's here." He said, jumping into the back seat.

"Shit, shit, shit!" Dean exclaimed, throwing the car into reverse. He flew down the road and headed for the bunker.
