Two months passed; Madhu tried a lot to make her parents agree but she couldn’t do it. But one day, her parents gave her a solution but it is a tough one.

Madhu’s father: Madhu, okay fine. You can marry him. He loves you, right? then he has to change into our religion. If he did, then we can accept him.

Madhu’s Mom: No, how can you accept that boy.

Madhu couldn’t understand what they were demanding.

Madhu: Papa, what are you saying?

Madhu’s Father: Didn’t you hear? I sa…

Madhu: How can you say like that? Don’t you have heart? What did I do? Loving a person is a sin?

Madhu’s mom: How can you speak against your father?

Madhu: Maa, stop it. I can’…

Rishab: I can.

All the three of them turned towards the door and was shocked to see Rishab standing there.

Madhu: Rishu?

Madhu was flowing in happiness seeing her love after two long months.

Rishab smiled at her gracefully.

Madhu: Rishu, you didn’t tell me anything?

Madhu’s mom: You were speaking with him? I told you not to.

Madhu: Maa, please.

Rishab: I will change my religion, uncle.

Madhu’s father frowned at his answer.
Madhu: Rishu, no you can’t. This is not fair.

Rishu: I will because I love you.

Hearing this, Madhu’s parent got angered.

Madhu’s mom: Rishabbb.

Rishab: Aunty, you all know how much we love each other then why shouldn’t I say ‘I love you’? And also, I said I can change my religion. But I am very happy that she too could change into my religion.

All were confused.

Madhu’s dad: What are you saying?

Rishab: That’s what you said. I love her and so, I have to change into your religion. And she too loves me and she too has to change, right?

Madhu’s dad: No, she won’t.

Rishab: That’s not fair uncle. We love each other and so, the condition must be for both.

Madhu’s mom: Madhu, see how is he behaving. He is asking you to change into his religion.

Madhu: Why not, mom? You asked and he agreed and won’t I agree?

Even Rishab was shocked to hear this.

Rishab: See, even your daughter loves me so much. Now can we marry?

Madhu’s dad: No, you can’t Madhu. You will marry but not this man. You are going overboard.

Rishu: Uncle, you proved that I love your daughter more than you.

Madhu’s dad: No. You can leave the house.

Madhu was crying. She didn’t know how to handle the situation.

Madhu’s mom: We love our daughter more than anyone else.

Rishu: If you love her, then why don’t you fulfil her happiness?
Both were silent.

Rishu: Aunty, uncle, I didn’t come here hoping for a movie scene. I frankly came to ask you uncle; will you accept our love? I know it’s hard uncle. But I truly love your daughter.

Madhu’s mom: What if it is a no?

Rishu: Even after I change into your religion?

Madhu’s mom was silent.

Madhu: Papa, like he said. I too truly love him. Can’t you see how much he loves me? He will take care of me. If not like you, but he would try to do that. I assure you.

After so many arguments and fights, Madhu’s parent agreed. They had their formal marriage proposal. After the encounter, Madhu’s father personally noticed Rishu and he liked him very much but didn’t say it out. He voiced out his thoughts when Madhu’s mom would pick a fight with Rishu and Madhu. Rishu, being an understandable boy, knew what he was trying to say. Shaina was happy to the core.

Ragini: Please, Rishu. I will whatever you want but please don’t tell them.

Rishu: How could I miss this chance?

Ragini: No, I am your only friend, right? What will her parents think of me?

Rishu: Of course, you helped us to get together.

Ragini: Stop playing.

Rishu: Come to my wedding first we will see later.

Ragini: I will come and go without your n=knowledge.

Rishu: Then, I will say to my in-laws about you immediately. You know, I am in my in-laws house only. Wait let me call her mother. Auntyyyyyyy.

Ragini: Rishabbbbbbbbbb, hold on. Don’t.

Rishu was laughing like a maniac. At the same time, Madhu came there with some snacks in her hand.

Madhu: Rishu, who are you talking?

Rishu said everything about their talk and Madhu joined them.

Madhu: Loud speaker, Rishu.

Madhu: Raguuuuuu, can I too say to my mother?

Ragu: You too? It’s not fair. This useless man is not helping me in any way.

Rishu: Poor, Laksh.

Ragini was throwing pillows over Laksh.

Laksh got the phone: Oh God! Give me some tips, Rishu. I can’t handle this animal.

Rishu & Madhu: Good name, Laksh.

Ragini: Fine, I am out of the way. You three talk.

Ragini left from the convo and the others chatted.

Laksh: Anyways, hearty congratulations for you both.

Madhu & Rishu: Thank youuuu. You should come here before-handed and help us in our marriage.

Suddenly, Ragini from nowhere came and snatched the phone.

Ragini: You have everyone there and why you need us to help in your marriage. Get lost.

And that’s it, she cut the phone.

Laksh: You are becoming angrier day by day. This is not good. I should take you to a good psychiatrist.

Ragini: Whattt! Today, you stay hungry.

Laksh: What have I done! Raguuuuu

Laksh followed his love behind to fill his stomach.

***
Madhu: I didn’t think you had much guts to talk to my parents.

Rishu: I can talk to anyone but except you.

Madhu: Am I that terror?

Rishu: Want me say the truth?

Madhu: Is it a yes then?

Rishu nodded and Madhu beat him with her tiny hands on his chest.

Madhu: I can’t believe we are going to get married in a week.

Rishu nodded giving a big smile. Madhu pecked his cheek and ran from there.

Their marriage was fixed. Engagement had been one and now there only a week time for their marriage. It was not a grand one. Since being a clash between the religion, they had decided it to be a court marriage.
***

On the day of marriage, Rishu was admiring his Madhu with intense love in his eyes and Madhu was profusely gave a pinky blush. They exchanged the garlands and tied the nuptial chain around Madhu’s neck indicating they belong to each other. We should understand one thing in this. Marriage is a bond between hearts of two people. It’s needed only one thing – UNDERSTANDMENT. Through this, care, affection and trust come along. To live a happy life, no religion, no caste, no community is needed, just a peg of love.

Madhu’s dad: Rishab, I know you will look after my daughter with love. You don’t need to change your religion. I just…

Rishab: I know uncle, and that’s why I agreed to it. I will never stop her from worshipping her god.

Madhu’s mom: First, tell her to do that. She doesn’t do that. You should be responsible for that.

Madhu: Maa!!

Ragini and Laksh were standing with happy faces. Laksh hugged Rishu and Ragu hugged Madhu and wished them a happy life.

Rishu: Madhu, I just wanted to crash this happy face of Ragu

Madhu: Me too

Laksh: Do that, I am getting bored without her fight.

Ragu: How dare you all! But not a problem.

Rishu: I see, now wait. Auntyyyyy

Rishu still saw her face beaming with a smile. The three frowned.

Madhu’s mom: Yes?

Rishu: Aunty, you know it was Ragu who made us…

Madhu’s mom: Together, right? And it was her who made me accept you.

Laksh knew about this and the newly wedded couple were shocked to hear this.

Madhu’s mom: Otherwise, this marriage wouldn’t have happened.

Ragini smirked.

Madhu: When did you do this?

Ragini: Before that call. I thought of playing with you both.

Rishu: Laksh?

Ragini: He is always on my side and he did what I said.

The three of them laughed at the shocked couple. They hugged once again.
