Touya Todoroki- the runaway kid

Chapter 12- The competion

Let me welcome contest number #69.  Touya glaces down at her badge then back up then down. Wait a second that's her. Oh lucky me. She bitterly thought. She was gonna do what she always did as a Todoroki and fake smile her way through whatever objects or present came at her. Smile for the photo right!?

The red head walked into a glass booth and noticed a small pink haired man. Small but taller than Touya. He had Cheshire Cat eyes and smirked. He had those matrix glasses and a Michael Jackson hat. He was also wearing a Hawaiian top button down with ripped jeans. His skin was a very ghostly pink. She felt bad for his children if he had any.

"Hello! Our late coming contestant. Come take a seat." The man said.

She walked over and swallowed thickly.

"So ma'am. I'm Kaishi Osore. What's your name?"

"I'm T-t..." she swallowed think of a lie Touya! "sorry I'm really nervous."

"It's okay."

He smiled, it looked like a clown smile. What's my name I could lie about? I've said T so Tabby, no. Touya, that's my name idiot. Why am I feeling fear? Quirk. I'll say Tessa.

"I'm Tessa. What's your Quirk?" He looked shocked for a second then regained his composure.

"How? It's fear asses. It plays on your fears."

I knew it!

"You caught on quickly. May I ask what your fear was?"

"No." She said smugly at him, "how many have you caught out?"

"So far 9 and there have only been 12."

"Why?"

"What why they need to be able to face there fears?"

"What does it have to do with music though..."

"To be a performer or famous what's so ever you will encounter people who hate you and you can't just let other people protect you."

"Hmm so your quirk is the ability to raise someone fear levels..."

"I know it's kinda v..."

"Epic. That's so bloody cool!"

He stared at her long and hard. The word he was going for is villainous. He had half a mind to ask if she was as dumb as a brick and then just snickered.

"Thanks..."

They sat there in silence. He was meant to ask question to her while she was under his quirk because fear tends to bring out the truth in people but she figured it out to quickly.

"That's makes sense to be honest the form said allow people to use quirk on you. Hmm." She giggled and looked at him.

"Well I need ask you questions." He started his quirk again. He put it on about 90% of his power even though for the other contestant he used 70%.  She squinted at him.

"You trying something." Touya sighed into her seat. She knew he was going to use his quirk. "You know could ask to put your quirk on it's not illegal. You don't have to be secretive mate."

The man stared bewildered at her and just nodded.

"Whatever you want your majesty." He did and over the top bow in his chair. His eyes went green and he skipped past 100 all the way to 150%. "First questions if there was a shooter directly outside the building and there was you and two young fans of yours what would you do?"

"Right... is the gun short range or long and is there a place I can hide quickly or not. I can not give you a straight answer because in that scenario and there are many thing I could do."

Touya was completely unfazed by the quirk. I've had worse.

"Wow... if it was you or an fan held at gun point what would you do?"

"Is there a way to disarm him or have they found like a way to cancel out my quirk."

"No ways it's your life or your fans."

"Mine."

"No hesitation. You pass and your about to go on."

"Questions."

"Fire away." Only if he knew there pun in that- she smiled and sniggered at her own words

"Why aren't you a pro?"

His eyes watered a little before nodding and saying that he was bullied all his life. Making people fear things isn't exactly the heroic sort of power is it. Although his parents made him to practice and so he did. It's his quote biggest regret. He looked into the ocean blue eyes and sighed.

"It's fine you don't have to tell me. Bye!" She waved the skipped out.

When living with Endeavor you had to learn to face your fear. You had to learn to put up an act of happiness be that perfect child. The eldest... she always needed to put up the act in attempt to be the perfect child. To be honest it was exhausting. She sat down on the chair facing a mirror and sighed flickering away the strands of black in her face. She heard the door creak open behind her. She instead of turning around just looked in the mirror. It was a man clearly in his twenties with blonde hair walked through. He looked like a walking Levi advertisement.

"Who are you?" She still wasn't facing him.

"I'm Tsunagu Hakamada."

To be honest that didn't seem like it would help much but it did considering there was no hesitation the probability of it being true and him meaning no harm did sky rocket.

"Great. What do you want?"

"I'm here to do make up and clothing..."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?"

Touya turned around and looked him up and down, he's a pro.

"Why because you look like you have enough money without having to do this. This clearly doesn't pay well or maybe pay at all. So why?"

Wow this kid is smart... "well I enjoy it."

"Alright. Do whatever I don't mind you can mess around with my hair, make up, costume everything. It doesn't bother me much. I was fine just going onstage with what I'm wearing but I don't mind. I can't pay you and you know that so you can do whatever as long as I don't end up like a clown and even the I'll be fine. So have fun." The black hair meant no malice while saying that and smiled honestly at him.

This was a first. Kaishi did say she was different. Normally there all like I want this this and this. She's a breathe of fresh air.

"Full range."

"Yeh go ballistic with experiments. I mean it's your free time and hobby so why not." She smiled at him before turning back round, "I'll be fine as long as you try."
