All the colors of the clearing became a blur as they whizzed through. Colors of lime, navy, ebony, and sunset blurred into a single nameless tone. All of a sudden Hunter and Anna were enclosed in a little hideaway through the Bushes and rubble of the forest. Hunter was getting closer to Anna with every passing second. "You okay?" he said in the most concerned voice. "You think i'm okay?" "no. Im not."
" Look. I know this is all very confusing and painful for you. You have to realize Anna, you are their drug of choice. Their heroin, their cocaine, their marijuana. Whatever you say, whatever you do is like a television series for them. They love the drama. They love to examine you. It's unhumane, it's unethical. We must not let them reach you, or i'm afraid your going to be a television series that has been discontinued." he said this in a rush, as if he knew their exact intentions. "Who is they. Why do they want me?" I looked straight into his glittering eyes.
"You know when you are working on a puzzle, and you only need one more piece to complete it?
"Yes?" I replied with such uncertainty.
"Well Anna you are the last piece, the one final thing they need to complete the whole picture."
"Who are they?" I said, hoping for a straight answer.
"The spiritual ghurus." he said in a chuckle.
"How is this funny?" I slapped his arm a lot harder than expected.
"Oww that was my arm!" he chuckled once more, and you could see a sparkle light up his eyes.
At that moment he looked me straight in the eyes. When our eyes finally were held to one another, there was a spark that was as tangible as the air itself.
"You know." he muttered. "I could tell a lot about you just looking into your eyes."
"I could say the same Hunter." And at this her lips spread into a genuine smile, for the first time in forever.
"Well....we should probably start heading out." he said resiliantly.
"Okay. And where exactly are we going?" she said.
She couldn't help but glance his way, he was perfect. The way he smiled, his deep voice whispering through her dreams, his curly locks, and his mysterious brown, green eyes taking a look into her soul.
"And that Anna, is what i'm not quite sure of." he winked at her and flashed his brilliant smile. She couldn't help but worry her heart had melted out of her chest.
He reached for her hand, and she grabbed it willingly. They flew through the clearing, running as though they were swift as foxes.
"Hey Anna...can I tell you something?" Hunter said as he was attempting to catch his breath.
"Yeah, of course you can." I said with a hint of curiosity.
"I don't believe the things they told me. You are so much more than the person they depicted you as." he looked at her with sorrow overtaking his entire being.
"Anna. I was supposed to kill you. I was supposed to be the hero of the night, but I can't even look at you without getting butterflies. You are beautiful Anna." At this point his muscular body slumped, his face fell into his hands, and his deep voice went into a series of heart throbbing sobs.
"Hunter, why do they want me dead?" at this point tears were flooding my eyes as well.
"Because Anna. If you don't die, they will. They will do anything to get to you. All the hearts are beating in synchronization except the daughter of nature."
"The daughter of nature?" I asked.
"Your mother is the ruler of the rivers, storms, wind, rain, sun, sleet, hail. Anna, you are the daughter of a goddess, you are of royal heritage and blood."
At that moment Anna fell in the dirt, and was in a dream like state once again.
