A short story.
Shen Wei was ready to start living on his own, something that he had always dreamt of, all prepared to be on his own.
Who was he kidding?! He was scared, he was constantly biting his nails, he was hugging his knees while he rocked back and forth.
Should he go back to his brother and Jie?! Yes, they will beat him bad, but wouldn't life be easier that way?! The way he is used to?! His mind was going haywire with all the thoughts.
"Ah, ball!"
The voice took his attention, and slowly, all the tension and worries faded as he watched Yunlan giggling and playing with a ball on the floor.
He smiled to see his friend and realised he wasn't alone this time, "Yunlan."
And Yunlan quickly looked at him with a wide grin on his face, "ball, Shen Wei, ball!" he excitedly showed him the ball and then got his attention back to the ball like it was the most precious gem in the world, and then he bit into in, low growls left his lips.
Shen Wei's smile vanished, his eyes swelled.

"So, I could only shortlist a few for you," the broker held his cigarette between his teeth. The guy was lanky with a goatee on his bony chin, he wore a khaki suit and was a perfect image of a broker.
Shen Wei frowned, not able to take the whiff of smoke, he lightly coughed, "A few?"
"No one wants to have an unmarried couple as tenants."
Shen Wei quickly looked at Yunlan, who excitedly looked at the passing cars, and then down at his hands clutching tightly onto Yunlan's, to prevent him from running after cars.
"We are not a couple," Wei quickly justified but had to squeeze his eyes in frustration when Yunlan licked his cheek, sliding his tongue right from his jaw up till his temple.
The broker's eyes widened, "Yeah, right. Now follow!"
Shen Wei glared Yunlan while his pup innocently grinned back.

"Yunlan!!" Shen Wei strained as he pushed Yunlan from behind with both his palms pressed against his back, "These... are... just... some... stairs!!"
But the pup remained unmoved as he stubbornly held onto the stair posts on either side, not ready to go up the staircase.
"Yunlan!!" Wei screamed as he pushed with all his energy while Yunlan pushed back with all the doggy strength he had.
The broker looked at both the kids, confused.
"I have more... without the stairs," He spoke, too hesitant.
Shen Wei abruptly stopped pushing, making Yunlan fall back with a grunt.
