Everyone was preparing to test some brain tissue from the largest of our gen sharks. Carter and I are down in the wet entry room preparing to go into the water and lure the shark onto the underwater lift. We gear up and head over to the water, we look at each other, nod then jump in. We swim out through the underwater tunnels. We get to the gate doors at the end and decide that it's the only way to lure her to the lift. We set up a trap by taking off our oxygen tanks and leaving them out in the open over the lift. We wait for her to take the bait and, eventually, she took the bait. She bit into it, as she did Carter shot her with the gun. We then swam up, on each side of her, as the lift was lifted up into the lab.
As we reached the surface, I gasped and took a big gulp of air. We then prepared ourselves to keep our shark calm and steady, we got buckets ready to fill to pour over her. Once everyone was ready, we looked to Carter to make sure she's asleep. He held his ear up to her, he then looked to us and said "She's sleeping like a baby." Susan then says "Okay" as the Doc's then get to work, Susan steps into the water and then starts to prep the gen shark.
Suddenly, as Carter and I pour our buckets of water over the shark, she shakes a bit. Carter and I both grab onto her to help calm her down, everyone looks to Carter to see what happened, Carter then says "Bad Dreams" with a shrug. Susan then goes back to removing the brain tissue from the shark. Once she removes it, she then takes it over and puts in under the microscope while Carter and I continue to pour water over the shark and keep her calm.
Susan then looks down the microscope and waits to see if they see, what she calls 'Lightning in a bottle'. I don't even bother to listen to their science talk and just concentrate on the shark. I then hear Susan shouting "They're Firing! They're Firing!" so I'm guessing it worked. They all congratulate each other while Jim walks over and lights a cigarette. He then walks over and crouches down next to the shark and said "You did it, pal. You did it." All of a sudden, the shark moves it's head so fast, there is no time to move out the way.
It grabs Jim's arm in its mouth and bites it clean off. Everyone turns towards him as I had to jump out the way of the sharks head moving my way so she didn't get me. I am now stuck, the shark has managed to wriggle itself towards me and has lodged me in between it and the wall. Carter quickly jumps out the water and runs over to the cabinet which has a gun encased in it. He smashes the glass and grabs the gun, I then hear Susan shout "Carter, No!" She quickly slides over to the emergency button that lowers the lift and slams her hand onto it just as Carter aims at the shark.
Obviously, nobody has noticed that I am still in the pool and stuck. Carter then looks up to Susan and said "Are you insane?" I then feel the floor move from underneath me, I started to panic because I was being pulled down into the water. I tried to grab onto the floor as the lift was being lower but the shark was thrashing so much I wasn't able grab it. I then went full on panic mode and shouted "Carter!" He then looked over to where I was, his eyes went wide at the realization that I was still in the water.
As the lift was lowered to the lowest it goes, the shark swam away from us. As she swam, she hit me with the end of her tail, which hit me with enough force to knock me underwater. The last thing I see before I was pulled underwater was Carter diving to grab me. Just as I think I'm gonna get eaten, I feel a hand grab me from above the water and pulls me up and out of the water. I gasp for breath as I lean my back against Carter's front. He pulls me closer to him and says "It's okay, you're alright. Just Breath, Maisy. Just Breath." I kept gulping in fresh air for a little bit as I calmed down. I then realize that I could of been eaten, I say "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!"
Carter then turned me to face him as he takes my face in his hands and says "Hey, just breath. You're okay, nothing is gonna happen to you. I won't let it. C'mon, Breath with me. In and Out. In and Out." I started to breath along with Carter, soon calming myself down. I then say "I'm okay." He then sighs and hugs me, I quickly hug him back in relief. We then pull back and look at each other, he then kisses me with as much passion as he could, I responded with equal passion.
We then get up and go over to where the Susan, Jan, Scoggins and Franklin are trying to help Jim. Carter then goes to the microphone and tells Brenda to get help. We then get Jim on a stretcher and take him up to the surface all while Susan and Jan are tying to do something to stabilize him. We get to the top and open the doors to the outside, when they open we are shocked to see the surface being battered by the storm. Carter heads out first to go and grab the winch hook, once he has it he motions for us to come over.
We then quickly make our way to him while battling through the high waves. We get there, hook Jim up and Jan, Susan, Scoggins and Franklin make their way back to the elevator. Carter and I make sure Jim is taken up okay, once he's half way we head back to the elevator. Suddenly a huge wave comes over and wipes me off my feet with Carter managing to stay on his feet. Carter then comes over and grabs me by the waist to help guide me back to the elevator. He shouts "Are you okay!" I shout back "Yeah, I'm fine!"
We then make it back to the elevator and shut the doors behind us. We both lean against the wall of the elevator trying to get our breathes back, we look at each other in relief. Carter then reaches out to me, grabs onto me and pulls me into him. I let him do it as I happy for the comfort as I am scared shitless. He then kisses the top of my head and says "When we get out of here, were going on a long vacation" I smiled and said "Can't wait!" He smiled and laughed.
*** I'm so sorry guys. I will be adding a bit more onto each of my Imagines and will be adding more imagines soon. I've been so busy this year as I am a front line worker so I have been working all through the pandemic so I have been putting in overtime so much just now so I just haven't had time to do anything but I will defo get some more imagines done soon.
