A few weeks. That was all it took for things to begin slowly going back to normal. Of course, nothing was completely normal; there weren't nearly as many monsters, and school was paused; not to mention MK's own situation. But things were slowly feeling less tense, and that was something MK appreciated.

'Did you see that strange robot?' Lucy asked, the human soul sounding very much curious over what she'd seen.

"Who? Mettaton?" Even now, MK didn't seem to want to keep his words confined to his head. Sure, he occasionally got strange looks, but he hardly seemed to notice. Besides, what monster was going to judge the kid who saved them? And with the help of a human no less! It didn't bother him. Much.

'The broken one with the black and pink, back on Alphys' work table,' Lucy told him, and for a brief moment, the shared memory of seeing said robot came to the forefront of his mind. 'That one.'

"Yeah! That's Mettaton!" MK chirped, the boy gaining a sort of pep in his step as he began to chatter on. "He's the coolest celeb in the Underground! He's made so many shows! Mettaton Saves The World is my favorite actually!"

Lucy went silent as she listened to the monster chatter, the girl not knowing what else to really say as he continued to ramble on about the show he watched. She didn't know why he found it so good, but then again, he was younger than her; maybe that was why.

"Yo! I dunno if you remember, but Alphys said he went to fight the human, and they really hurt him! She thought he was dead actually... But he's still alive! So she's fixing him!" MK couldn't help but laugh a little out of sheer happiness for the idol's potential return; however, he couldn't help but begin to think about other parts of their conversation, particularly parts that he didn't fully understand, yet they still continued to bother him. "...Yo. Do you think she may be doing that so she doesn't have to be queen?"

The question seemed to cause the girl to pause, the boy waiting for an answer as he continued to walk along. It took a moment though, but eventually, she let out a small hum in response. '...Maybe. Alphys seems very nervous, and I don't blame her. Everyone here went through a lot, and being suddenly crowned queen would be a lot too.'

"Oh. Yeah..." MK could understand that. Sure part of him didn't fully know why anyone wouldn't jump at the chance to rule a kingdom, but then again, when she put it like that, he guessed he could see why. That and Queen Alphys was a very weird thought. "She's better as a scientist though. Like, she's invented so much stuff for the Underground!"

'Yeah, I've heard,' Lucy replied. 'Plus the Royal Council sounds better anyway. They'd know more about how to run a castle, plus there's more people there to pitch in their ideas and stuff.'

"I guess! Yeah!" He was just following whatever Lucy said at this point; politics were a concept that he barely knew anything about, and Lucy was already picking that up, which was fine. She'd refrain from the topic in this situation, even if he didn't seem to mind hearing her thoughts. However, that didn't stop his own mind from wandering, and eventually, something new caught his attention.

"Yo! Umbrellas!" Running forward, the boy giddily grabbed an umbrella and opened it up, holding it proudly above his head as he braved the dripping cavern.

'We come through here all the time. How's the umbrella thing still exciting for you?'

"Because I've got hands now!" said MK cheerfully, the monster grinning while he walked along. After that though, they walked in silence, the only sounds coming from the water drops as well as the happily humming monster child. He didn't mind Lucy's lack of response, especially when he'd come to learn that the girl seemed to be rather introverted. Instead, all he really did was continue walking, only to then begin talking in order to fill the silence. "Yo, I'm glad I get to walk around here again. I used to walk here all the time, but then we moved to Snowdin, which isn't as cool."
