Kirstie POV
I wake up to the smell of Mac and Cheese. I flutter my eyes open, and Avi is propped up on his elbow, staring at me.
"So, would you like dinner," he smiles.
"What is it?"
"Mac n Cheese with little hot dog pieces cut up in there, and a strawberry milkshake."
"A-Avi, I don't know what to say!" tears well in my eyes. "Thank you so much! What can I do to repay you?"
"Say hi to Mom and Sarah," he smiles. I look at the computer screen, and Mom and Sarah are smiling, faces bright.
"Oh Avi-" I start, and he places a finger over my mouth.
"Just talk to them We'll talk later," he winks, and walks out of the room.
"So, how has tour been?" Sarah squeals.
"Oh, normal. I had a crying spell today. It has been a hard day," I tell them all about the events of today, and they nod ever so often.
"You have a great man," Sarah smiles. I told her Avi knows, and she just said that family should know what's happening. We talk about the good memories of Dad.
"We've gotta go. Love you Kirst," they say together. I had eaten my dinner while we were talking. Eventually, I had eaten all the orange goodness. Maybe Avi was supposed to eat some, too. Well, crap.
"Hey, babe, I'm back," he smiles.
"Um, have you eaten yet?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I went out to eat with the boys."
"Oh, good. I accidentally ate all the Mac n Cheese."
"And the shake?"
"Yes," I reply meekly.
"And you drank the diet coke?"
"Mmhmm."
"You must've been hungry," he laughs. He changes into sweatpants, and climbs into bed. I crawl out, and change into some cotton shorts and a t-shirt. I climb into bed, and curl up beside him. I'm half asleep, when Avi begins to sing overtone.
"Why," I moan.
"I gave that pitch overtone. Pitches love overtone," he laughs.
"You're a dork, and I still love you."
"I love you, too. Hit me with a pickup line, babe."
"Are you Avi Kaplan, because you are super sexy and I'm your soul mate, and also I'm in love with you," I shrug my shoulders.
"That was a bad pick up line," he laughs.
"You can't just put me on the spot like that."
"Gosh, babe. I just wanted to be flirted with."
"You're a nerd. I hope you know that."
"Babe," he hums.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For walking out earlier. I was just really mad and stuff..."
"Hey, it's alright."
"Oh, and I'm sorry for this," he wiggles his fingers up and down my sides, causing me to lurch.
"Avi," I said between laughs. "Stop!"
He laughs that perfect hearty laugh of his, and stops the relentless tickling. "I'm glad this is true love."
"What?"
"I like that my best friend, who I love, is my soulmate. I get to spend the rest of my life loving you and having fun with you. I've never been happier."
I'm happy this is true love to, Avi.
