Chapter 10: ShikaIno

Ino's POV.

I tried to open my eyes, but it was like they were glued shut. Though I couldn't open my eyes, I could still hear everything around me.

"Yes we're serious, only one chance though," it sounded like Sakura's voice.

Who was she talking to?

Then my hearing started to go all hazy, I lost way too much chakra...

After what I thought was about ten minutes, someone picked me up and carried me off.

I tried to lift my leg, to kick the person in the face but my leg felt so heavy, again, way too much chakra loss.

I tried to move my hand but, that felt way too heavy, too.

I'll just let the person carry me for a while, then when I get my strength back, I'll sock 'em.

I didn't even realize I was falling
asleep. Better to rest, I guess.

Shikamaru's POV.

After the guys had their little reunion, we set off to Konoha.

I carried Ino in my arms, bridal style. I got this feeling that carrying her now, isn't going to end so well later.

We should be making it to Konoha, in about a hour or so.

We all sat down to rest a bit by a little stream. It was calm and relaxing, like nothing had gone wrong these past few years. The sun was rising and it made the water sparkle.

I was sitting up, resting my head against a tree. Ino's head was on my chest, and she was sitting in my lap. We were facing the stream.

Ino started to shift around, then stilled. A second later there was a hard blow sent to my face.

She punched me!!! Ow?

She looked a but surprised at first, then glared down at me.

"What the hell do you think your doing."

My face was still calm and relaxed, even though she punched me.

"Calm down, jeez... troublesome woman.." I closed my eyes, listening to the birds chirp and loving the feeling of the suns warmth on my face.

"Why am I here, with you? Where is Sakura, Hinata and Tenten? What did you do to them? Wh-" I pulled her down by the arm and sat her beside me, cutting her off.

I then wrapped an arm around her waist, looking the other way.

"Stop being so troublesome..........I'm sorry." I looked at her from the corner of my eyes. She stared at me with her innocent blue eyes, then finally saying.

"They gave you guys a chance didn't they? Fine, I'll give you a chance too. Just don't think it will be that easy to get me to trust you, again." She the looked the other way, I swear I saw a small smile.

She leaned in to my shoulder resting her head on it, then she fell asleep again.

She must still be tired....

•A Hour Later•

I could see the Konoha gates from miles away. We finally made it back, and with the girls too. Its been four years since I've felt this much joy.

I'm hoping Ino and I could restart our whole relationship.

Has she even fully forgiven me yet? How can she, I cheated on her, I lied to her and called her a burden.

Even though we knew the girls were watching us, we just continued to talk....

We are horrible people. I'm a horrible person. I broke her heart, and shattered it in to a million pieces...
