Clearing it up

Robin's P.O.V

She's not serious is she?

"Kill her!"
"Break her back!"
"Viva Bane!"

They were all rooting for Bane,of course,and I noticed a couple of them betting that Bane would win,but others betted Rebecca. . .if that was Rebecca.

They circle each other,Bane doesn't even dose himself with venom,Rebecca just smirks and said something to him.Bane stopped for a moment then went back to circling,this time I noticed his hands ball into fists.

'What the hell am I still doing here?!'I thought and dashed to find someplace quiet.

"Robin to Batman. . .Come in Batman."I say through the com-link.

Nothing.

The floor rumbles for a moment and I turn only to see Bane and Rebecca still at it!Dammit!

"Robin to Batman,this is a code Red."I said then noticed I had no signal.

"Crap."I mutter and hear Bane roar.

I run back to the crowd,Bane had Rebecca in a headlock,but that wasn't the worst part.

She was smiling!
Grinning like a deranged maniac as she twisted one of his fingers and was able to get out of his hold.

"Enough!I will not be fooled by a child!"he snarled and dosed himself with venom.

Everyone backed up more,some hid knowing that Bane was a machine when he used venom.

"Rebecca!"I shouted as I saw her jump over Bane's charge.

She turned around and smirked at Bane then looked at me then winked as she ran up to Bane,a knife in her hand--"No!"

1 hour later.

". . . .What happened?"Batman bellows as Bane was transferred to the hospital.

I look up at him,"We. . . .I. . .I tried to fight--" "Don't lie,Robin!"Batman snarls.

"Don't yell at him."we both turn and see Rebecca,they must've let her go.

"What gives you the right--" "This was my fight.I fought Bane because he had another shipment coming in less than a week that was going to Gotham's sewers."Rebecca explains.

"I knew about the shipment,Rebecca."Batman states.

"Than you know that Joker was going to be there,right?"she says and I look at Batman.

He stayed looking at her for a moment or so,pretty sure he was also wondering how the hell she knew that!

"You can get a lot out of a guy if you hit the right places."she said with a smirk and winked at me.

My eyes widen and she walked to the Batmobile,"We don't have all night,boys!"she calls.

I start walking only for Batman to stop me,"What?"I ask.

"Something's not right with her."

"You think,boss?"I say sarcastically.

". . . .She knows something."he finishes then we walk to the Batmobile.

Clearly the girl knew a bit more than we thought she did. . .but I couldn't tell him about her eye. . .not yet anyway.
Rebecca sighed as she sat back,she was way too comfortable and laid back.

"Rebecca,"Batman says as he starts the car,"we were able to speak to child services and they happily found a new home for you.Good people too,if you're up--" "Up for what?To be some family's black sheep?Be their lucky girl?Sorry,Batman,but I think I'll pass."she's definitely not Rebecca.

She chuckles though and looks at me,"You think I'm deranged don't you?"

"You?"I scoff,"Why do you think that?"I ask.

"Cause I saw you during the fiasco,you were all shocked and confused,heh,almost like that was your first time in a--" "Enough.Rebecca,I'm taking you back to Mount Justice,there's a room set up for you there."Batman states and she scoffs then smirks back at me.

"Just don't want to get rid of me,huh?"she says then we were silent the whole way back to the Bat-Cave.

"She's not Rebecca."I said to Bruce as we were finally alone.

"Don't you think I don't know that?What happened when you were with her?"he asks and I sighed,better now than never.

"Her eye. . ."I trailed and I saw his head quickly spin to look at me.

"Which one?"he asks.

"Her left eye. . .it went from--" "Brown to green."

I nod my head,"She was. . . .different,all she wanted to do was find Bane. . .kill Bane."

He sighs through his nose and stands,"Tell Alfred I'll be back later,I got a possible theory to all this nonsense.Also make sure you and the rest of the team keep an eye on Rebecca. . ."he puts his cowl on and walks to the Batmobile,"And Robin,"he turns to me,his facial expression changed a bit then hardened again and he walks over to me and puts a hand on my shoulder,"I'm going to give you a direct order with no questions asked if my theory is true,when that happens you do it,no questions asked,understand?"

I nod,"Of course."

"And you tell everyone,but Rebecca,understand?"he said.

This was about Rebecca then. . .I nod though,"Yes,I understand."

"Good. . .See you soon."
