Chapter 8: HIDDING FROM HIM

Zainabs POV

Okay so our date went well and school on Monday was good because we actually talked and I got to know Tunde and Dumebi, I have a feeling Dumebi might have a thing for Amanda I totally ship them I know I am sounding cringy, but purleaseee I am a girl. I was waiting for the bus after Chukwukas bus left when Bola walked up to me. "Hey new girl I have seen near my man" I just rolled my eyes "what do you want Bola?" I asked in a cold voice. "I want you to leave my man alone." Lol like you can make me do that. "If I dont?" I asked wanting to know why she is obsessed with him I thought these things just happened in wattpad books, the bad girl putting claim on the popular guy. if you dont, "I will make your life a living hell and you wouldnt want that now would you?" she said and marched out, okay? That was scary maybe I am becoming too close to Chukwuka, maybe I should just stay clear for some time after all we are cool.

The next day

I have been hiding from Chukwuka the whole day, okay that is not relatively true because we are in the same class and his seat is behind mine, but during break time and free periods I run to the library to stay away from him. Now I am waiting outside for lesson to start so I can get out of here honestly, I have been in this school for almost two months and I dont seem to like the school. I saw Chukwuka and his friends coming towards me and I walked the other direction ignoring his shouts. I had walked far enough thinking that he was not following me but I was wrong because I was sitting on the bench close to the music hall when someone sat down besides me and his smell of Nivea men body spray gave him away, after panting "Hi" he said, "Hey" I replied him I honestly do not know what to tell him, should I tell him that I am ignoring him because of the threat of a crazy girl or what? "So why have you been ignoring me, better still running from me? Did I do something wrong?" I asked I could hear sadness in his voice. "I am sorry it is because of Bola she said she will make my life miserable if I do not leave you alone" I looked down knowing he will be angry because he had told me already not to be afraid of her and all "But I told you not to mind her you could have told us and Tunde would have taken care of her" I gasped "What?" "I dont mean kill her I meant distract her and all that way she wont bother us" I nodded. The bell rang for lesson to begin he held out his hand and I took it. We were going to the class when I heard my brothers voice. "Zainab I am going home give me money so I can buy snacks or lunch" I rolled my eyes the only thing Tega knows how to do is eat and well he is extremely smart. "Guy my bag is in class lets go let me give the money" I was about to go when Chukwuka brought out his wallet and gave him two thousand naira, for what? I was about to collect the money from him when I was stopped "No let him have it, please besides the bus is about to leave do you want him stuck in school?" I thought of it "Okay but you could have given him five hundred because that was what I wanted to give him" He smiled "It is no biggie, and I am not collecting refunds that is final" I just smiled and hugged him "Thank you, but be warned my brother will come back" he laughed. We walked into the class and I sat next to him, since he is my lesson seat partner. Tunde and Dumebi sat with the girls are you thinking what am thinking? I totally want to ship them so bad and I had to tell Chukwuka he snickered "Lol, I am not sure of Tunde and Sharon but Dumebi and Amanda totally into it" we discussed about things and Chukwuka helped me with some equations did I forget to tell you that he is so smart, well he is the Senior Prefect, so that proves my point.
