Chapter 13: Making Up. We are Official

Zainabs POV

It has been two weeks since I last spoke to Chukwuka and it has been the longest two weeks of my life, I look at my phone hoping he will text me, today me and the girls are going to Dominoes Pizza to chill and honestly I am late because I didnt want to get up from my bed this morning and now Sharon is calling me. I picked "Hi Baby mama" I said giggling "Do not Baby Mama me, where are you someone is paying for the food and you know I love free food" I just laughed "I am coming and who is paying?" "You will see just come fast; bye love you" I shook my head typical Sharon. I ran downstairs, my dad and mum were having a discussion. "Hi dad" I kissed his cheeks, "bye mum" I hugged her They both just laughed and then my dad said something that made me stop "Greet Chuks for me and tell him that he owes me a visit" I looked down but had to respond before my dad stepped into the issue. "Okay daddy, bye" I walked out of the house and walked to the Pizzeria it is in my street so I decided to just walk to it why not. When I got there I saw the girls sitting with the guys except of Chukwuka of course he is still avoiding me, I walked inside and went straight to them "Hi guys" I said "Oh look decided to show up, hi cookie" Dumebi said, okay we are incredibly close and that is a problem for a certain someone I know. Cough *Amanda* Cough. "So, we thought you were not coming again" "Lol I would never miss free food, who is paying?" "I am" I turned and saw Chukwuka wow guy is still sexy as hell. "Oh, hey sorry did not know you would be here, I would go now or eat elsewhere" I looked the rest, they all had sympathy in their eyes, I shook my head and went to seat in another booth alone thank God I brought money. I called the waiter to order. He took my order he is quite a funny guy he made me laugh thankfully when he left, I went back to my phone. I felt a presence and looked up and I saw Chukwuka, "why did you leave like that?" he asked well "I was doing you a favour, I know you dont want to see me" I looked down hoping what I said was a lie because if it is true it hurts as hell. He sat down next to me and took my hand. "I do honestly, I asked the girls to bring you out so we can talk, I am sorry for how I behaved I was just hurt that you would stop talking to me because of a mistake I made" I looked at him "It is fine, I understand you I should not have done what I did after all it was in the past" He smiled "Thank you very much there is something I would like to tell you I could have told you long before now but I was scared" "What is it? Is everything okay?" I asked "yes" he said "Then?" "Well Zainab I like you a lot, I have for a long time, I know I might not be the perfect guy but would you be my girlfriend?" woah he asked me "Yes, God yes I will be" He smiled "Thank you" I looked at him we are now official, Oh my God I am dating Chukwuka. He held my hand and smiled. The waiter came back with my pizza and drink, I thanked him and was about to pay when Chukwuka did it for me, I shook my head and smiled after eating we went to the table that has the guys and told them the news they were happy, I looked between Dumebi and Amanda honestly I can feel some kind of tension between them. I will ask he later because my girl is looking down. Chukwuka dropped me home today he drove, when we got to my gate, he leaned in for a kiss of course I obliged only to see my father standing outside with his brows raised damn I am in trouble. We came down from the car "Good afternoon sir" Chuks greeted, "Good afternoon, son kissing in the car?" I was confused this man is up to something. "Dad" I said "Okay okay, you guys have fun I am going to have a little fun of my own later" He laughed and went inside. Okay my dad is the coolest wow. He pecked me and walked to his car and drove off I smiled and then went into the house my parents were in the parlour with Tega and Amina. My dad smiled and asked "So?" Daddy you are disgusting I laughed, my mum interjected "Oya tell us what happened? I know you guys had a fight so you guys kissing is a change" she smiled "We are dating now" She laughed and Tega screamed "Aww I knew it" Okay my family is the coolest see the way they are happy it is scary then there is Amina she just hissed and left "What is wrong with her?" I asked my parents "Ignore her" my dad said I smiled and went upstairs. I decided to talk to Amanda about her and Dumebis situation, I found out what has been happening between her and Dumebi and all and to say I am impressed with him makes me feel like a bad friend, he needs help with expressing himself though and I can work on that with him, lets see what happens
