Chapter 3

keigo stared at a distance spacing off.

"Hawks. Hawks..."

"HAWKS!!!"

A voice called out, he glanced at where the voice was coming from and it was from his friend.

"wait we're you saying something dabi???" keigo responds seemingly not listening.

a sigh came from the walking burned man and look at the beer in front of him. "if this is one of your silly jokes then, i wouldn't be surprise" he remarked

" last month's mission..." He started "the heroes were pretty off and I assume it has to do something with you?" Dabi added before taking another shot of his whiskey.

Keigo looked at the opposite direction and looked at his untouched the beverage

"all im just saying is that... your present state may affect your future" dabi mentioned and left the bar, keigo stayed and drink a couple more of rounds.

the pro hero hawks stumbles and walks into the street trying his best to not stumble and fall.

"keigo im getting married."

those we're the words that swirls inside keigo's head no matter how much he tries to forget, no matter how many whiskey and beer he takes he just can't simply move on. he can't stop thinking of her.

keigo stood up and once he did in front of him there stood y/n.

"keigo?..."

"y/n... "

keigo walk towards her and embrace y/n's figure. this made y/n worried and taken back from keigo's weight pushing her down.

"hawks???- hey! hey??? You're all tipsy and you're also smell like alcohol"
there's so many question flooded inside y/n's head as she held the drunk hawks.

"Are you alone? Where's your place I'll drive you there-" she was cut off by the thought that even with a cocky attitude he's not the type of a person that would get drunk, sure he might drink a few shots but this was different she knew something is wrong.

And for a second y/n found herself pinned in the nearby wall by hawks himself.

silence. there was silence.

"for years... i've waited for you" hawks spoke. y/n is confused of what does he mean by that, sure her leaving that day, 4 years ago was sudden but before she leave she made sure to let him know. And so, she sent him a letter before her departure.

"i've waited till you came back so i could finally say how much i...."-

" i love you.."

y/n with eyes widen as a pool of tear filled her eyes which cause her sight to blur, she wants to hold him, hug him tight and told him that everything will be fine. but, she failed to.

"but when you said that you're getting married... i don't know what to say... I've dreamed of you, of us- A possible future with you but-" keigo confessed to the woman who is now speechless from what the man she once knew since they we're kids is now drunk confessing his possibly regret. a regret that pains him till to this day.

"if only i could have told you sooner, then maybe... i wouldn't have regret this much...." he uttered as he release her arms and lean towards her shoulder where it starts to get wet, knowing he's at his limit that tears started to fall from the eyes of the red winged hero, hawks.
