'CHRIST, THE KING OF YOUR LIFE AND THE KING OF MY SOUL IS THE KING OF THE UNIVERSE'

On this last Sunday of the liturgical Year, we are celebrating the solemnity of Christ the king. Is He really your King and my King?

"Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew used parable to explain to his disciples about the coming of the Son of man in glory as King, shepherd and the Judge of all who on the day of 'final judgement' will separate the sheep from the goats; the righteous from the unrighteous; the blessed from the accursed; those to enter into eternal life from those who will go
away into eternal punishment: those who came to the needs of the least of their brothers and sisters providing food, drink, hospitality, clothing, health care, and empathetic visits, from those who neglected the poor and needy ones. It starts now!"

As Christians and leaders in our respective posts and positions, we are called to proclaim Christ, the Universal King and witness to him in the world. We are to open our hearts, receive him and worship him who loves and cares for us. We are to imitate his love and follow in his footsteps 'who came not to be served but to serve', and who nourishes our souls daily in the Holy Mass.

Viva Cristo Rey!
