Behind the mist,
The shadow of beauty emerges.
His head carried proudly; his tail carried high.
He is born with a wheel of steel and the power of a warrior.
It is his to choose his rider who may be his partner for eternity.
– "Fae horse" Poem by an unknown poet of the Four Kingdoms of the Four Seasons.

This chapter is also a tribute to my lost soulmate, my fae stallion mate, Henrich!🐎

Whenever I listen to this music, I'm feeling your presence next to me! 💗 Today is exactly the day since you left me two years ago. 😭 I miss you every day, Henry! 🥺 Rest in peace brother! I will meet you once again, then we will gallop together through the infinite lands for an eternity!🐎

Now that I paid my respect for my wonderful soulmate, let's get back to our story!

This chapter was inspired by Henry and my relationship.

ARYA'S PoV

"Sunshine here we are."

A beautiful green clear was before me, embraced protectively by the old forest. A small stream cut it in half. Beautiful horses drank graciously from the crystal-clear stream. Other ones were playing with each other, some rolling in the grass or relaxing in the shadows given by the big old trees.

"Sunshine, we can't enter the clear. From now on you are on your own."

"Papa, how will I know if I'm chosen?" – Father crouched down to my height.

"You will know it in your heart, you will feel something that could be compared to a gentle caress in your mind. It's the beginning of establishing your bonds."

"Be yourself kiddo, go outside and wander around them."— Cas whispered to my ear and kissed my head.

"Good luck Sissy! We will wait for you here." – Kay reassured me.

I entered the clear. I took a glance back, Papa was already standing between Cas and Kay, all of them waving their hands. I turned back my attention to the clear. I took a deep breath. And I walked closer to them. Don't forget Rya there are wild animals, don't challenge their authority! I was finally next to the stream. A chestnut coloured Fae horse raised his head and came closer to me. I stood still, slightly bowing my head, to express my respect. Chestnut came closer sniffing me. Took a step backwards and took a surprisingly deep bow by lowering his/her neck. I greeted Chestnut back the same way also bowing deeply. Chestnut left me. Other horses came to greet me the same way as Chestnut. The whole situation was strange, normally faes are the first to greet the fae horses. I even got the honour to caress some of the horses. But, I didn't feel any kind of gentle caress in my mind as Papa described it.
