Tanglepaw padded around the camp nervously making laps of the open area. Her walking began speeding up as her nerves began rising.

This was the moment either Sagepaw could continue training, or she'd be made an apprentice after Tanglepaw and Breezepaw.

The two sisters had always dreamed of having their warrior name ceremony together, and that dream could be clawed away from them so easily.
Would Sagepaw be alright by now?
Sagepaw had been ahead of both of her littermates by a long-shot. The only thing she would do was train. And moon over Crowflight of course. But now, while she was gone her littermates had caught up to her. Would she be able to join them to become warriors?

A swish of the long grass made Tanglepaw turn, her heart racing.
Willowflight exited the den first, she looked at Tanglepaw and nodded, not showing any emotion before turning around and looking into the den. And then came Sagepaw, who stumbled out of the den, her eyes concentrated on where she was padding forward.

"Sagepaw!" Tanglepaw raced towards her sister "You're okay!"

"Oh hey Tanglepaw." Sagepaw meowed, obviously concentrated a bit too much.

"Are you okay?" Tanglepaw asked, looking at Sagepaw's cobweb covered wounds.

"What? Oh... Yeah. Never been better." Sagepaw gave out a tiny laugh, soon fading into seriousness again.

"Tanglepaw can you please stop bothering your sister?" Willowflight snapped, before realizing how rude she sounded. But she didn't apologize which made Tanglepaw's neck fur rise.

"No she's not bothering me. I'm actually happy to see her again." Sagepaw gave her a happy smile.

"You are?" Tanglepaw looked taken aback before Sagepaw nodded. "That's great!"

As the two sisters began slowly padding around camp, they earned many curious and happy glares from their Clanmates. Tanglepaw listened on to what they were saying.

"Sagepaw!"

"You're okay!"

"We missed you Sagepaw!"

"I can't believe Sagepaw's back!"

"Hey Sagepaw!"

Tanglepaw and her sister just looked at each other, amusement glittering in their young eyes "Looks like they're happy to have you back." Tanglepaw giggled, before a crowd of WindClan cats surrounded Sagepaw and her sister, all asking questions and trying to get her attention.

Tanglepaw just rolled her eyes at the crowd She's not a Clan leader. Plus, Sagepaw probably wants some space. She thought bitterly before squeezing her way out of the crowd, and to the large camp around it.

"Don't like the crowds eh?" Tanglepaw turned around to see Redpaw with a smug look on his face. What had happened to him?

"Uhh no." Tanglepaw awkwardly replied.

Redpaw just laughed before continuing "Well you better start liking them."

"What?" Tanglepaw tilted her head to the side, bewildered by why the younger tom was laughing.

"I would tell you but that would wreck your whole life." Redpaw just rolled his eyes "Plus I would never want to hurt you knowing that you've been through so much. Unlike me." He mewed sarcastically.

"No tell me." Tanglepaw pressed, ignoring his sarcasm.

"Well I was overhearing a conversation with Rabbitfoot and Graystar--" Redpaw started but Tanglepaw cut him off.

"You were spying on them?" Tanglepaw asked "I need to tell them this."

"No I wasn't spying on them." Redpaw scowled "I was waiting for Rabbitfoot to finish talking to Graystar so I could ask him if I could get some herbs for him. But then I overheard what they had said."

"Fine fine. What did they say?" Tanglepaw asked, inching closer.

"Why would I want to tell you?" Redpaw teased "I'm just a useless kit remember?"

"For StarClan's sake I'm sorry okay?" Tanglepaw meowed, half lying "Can you please tell me?"

"No I don't believe you." Redpaw meowed "I'll only tell you when I believe that you're sorry."

Tanglepaw silently sighed before making up a foolish lie in her head before reciting it "I'm sorry for calling you a no-good kit. I'm sorry for snapping and I'm sorry for saying you haven't been through anything. I didn't mean for that to come out and I didn't mean it. I was just angry and sad and my emotions just spilled out on you and that isn't right. Can you please forgive me?"

Redpaw hesitated before reluctantly nodding "I'll tell you," The red tom looked zoned-out "But we need to go somewhere private."

Tanglepaw nodded "How about we go out of camp?"

Redpaw agreed before leading the older apprentice out of camp. Tanglepaw thought of arguing but she held her tongue. If she wanted to hear what he had to say she will have to hold her tongue as best as she can.

For a small second, Sagepaw crossed her mind. Should she go back and talk to her sister again? Or could Sagepaw deal on her own for a bit? She pushed the thoughts out of her mind as her head began to hurt.

After moments of trekking through the tall grasses, Redpaw and Tanglepaw sat at a spot near the lake where the grass was its tallest.

"So where were we?" Redpaw thought before nodding to himself "Oh yeah. I was near the leader's den and they were talking about you." Redpaw checked for Tanglepaw's reaction before he continued "They were talking about some stupid lightning thing... I don't know."

"Lightning? Maybe they were saying 'Oh that Tanglepaw would be the first cat to be stuck by lightning in a storm.'" Tanglepaw mocked, giving herself a laugh at her own joke.

But Redpaw shook his head "I don't think so. They sounded serious."

Tanglepaw just rolled her eyes before continuing "I don't think it means anything. If it did, they'd tell me."

"But... but-" Redpaw started but Tanglepaw again cut him off.

"Just shrug it off will you? It didn't mean anything." Tanglepaw meowed harshly, instantly regretting what she'd said.

"Fine. I don't care if you get struck by lightning." Redpaw shrugged, looking wounded before turning away and running the opposite direction. His emotions had just snapped, like a strand of grass in leaf-fall.

Tanglepaw wanted to yowl after him. She wanted to even run, but her paws stayed still and for moments, it seemed like she lost her voice.

She had hurt Redpaw twice and now his problems were all her fault.
