Smoketail sighed as she padded away from camp, and trying to forget the sad and empty faces behind her.
Everything had happened so quickly. It was like one of those dreams where you understood the story, but it was happening in fast forward and then later in that day, you forgot that fast dream all together. Was her life just one fast dream and some cat is ready to wake up for actual life?
Wait, that doesn't make sense.
Smoketail inwardly shrugged her shoulders before looking up, and tilting her head at her so called mother "So," She meowed coolly "Are you saying the truth?"
"Of course I am," Whisper merited, not even looking down "Why would I lie to you. You're Hush, my daughter."
"Hush?" Smoketail looked down and up again before rolling her eyes letting out a loud groan "Don't tell me if I want to live with you I have to change my name."
"Well you have to," Whisper stubbornly reacted, softening up afterwards as she looked down at Smoketail "I don't want a cat with a Clan cat name hanging around my cats. Plus, I named you that so I plan for it to stay that way."
Smoketail let out another groan before facing the oh-so-familiar lake. Would she have to leave the whole lake? Where was she even going?
The two began passing in silence. Smoketail stared in all directions, getting her last glance at her home.
Why did she leave? She was having a great life in WindClan with her brother Snowblaze and her parents. Not to mention that cat Breezefoot. Breezefoot was just so nice and his paws always fell the right way as he sprinted through the moor. She admired him like an idol.
But why did she say yes? She wasn't thinking straight. Why did she just leave her whole life behind? She just left all her friends, all the cats she's ever known, the cats she pledged her life to save and for what? To meet a cat that couldn't even raise her?"I-I'm not so sure I want to leave." Smoketail stammered, stopping just before the border "And I thought you lived at Horseplace."
Whisper stopped, looking behind herself slowly and began to face her kit "You have to come. You said you would. I know my Hush would never leave her own mother after she agreed to leave," Whisper fumed, before calming down "And I only had my kits there that doesn't mean I live there."
"Kits?" Smoketail asked. Maybe she had other littermates? But then why would Longwhisker only take her?
"I'll explain it all to you when we get home alright?" Whisper asked, seeming inpatient.
Smoketail paused. Was this cat trying to trick her? Has this cat been spying on WindClan, and knows everything about them? Has she blackmailed Longwhisker? It was convincible that Whisper would choose Smoketail since they looked alike. Was that the reason she was chosen? Or was this her real mother?
But Smoketail swallowed down her thoughts "And how far is that?" She sassily meowed, feeling confident for just a moment.
"Not far. It'll only take to around sunhigh if we keep walking." Whisper meowed, guiding Smoketail over with her fluffy smoke-black tail.
"Fine." Smoketail groaned, following this cat in front of her.
And the two continued walking through the moor, passing the WindClan border into open territory. Smoketail let in a breath, scenting her surroundings as she tried to take her mind off of leaving her home.
She refused to ever turn around, fearful that she might change her mind. This was her real family. She deserved to live with them, right?
They padded for as long as she could remember before the sun began to climb its way to the top of the sky.
"It's sun-high," Smoketail complained, thrashing her tail from side to side "You said we'd be there by now."
"Look over there," Whisper bluntly replied as she pointed with her tail towards a small cluster of trees, and Smoketail's head dropped.
"You live in trees?" She scoffed, her voice now turning into a complaint "But I hate trees."
"You'll have to get used to them if you plan on living here." Whisper meowed before looking down and her voice filled with happiness "Come. I have plenty of cats for you to meet."

Hey guys I hoped you enjoyed Smoketail's point of view. I'm probably going to switch between the two and all that m'kay? M'kay.
And remember when Sageclaw was taken by RiverClan? Well I might make another book about what happened to her so if you want to read it comment!
But anyways, that's it so bye!
