[[ setting: field of sweet, pink flowers ]]

"well, we're here! what do you guys think?" miu grinned. she was wearing a teal dress, with embroidered pastel yellow flowers along the sleeves and skirt. if you looked closely, you'd see tiny dots of freckles along her nose and cheeks.

"i took a long-ass time to find this, so i hope you're satisfied." she continued.

"well, i guess it's pretty acceptable. maybe." kokichi shrugged, a smirk curving at the corners of his mouth.

"what kokichi means is that yes, miu. it looks amazing." kiibo looked around, smiling happily.

"woooow, kiibo, you're talking over me! i guess robots don't care about what us mediocre humans think, huh?" kokichi teased, his eyes sparkling.

"of course i-" kiibo was suddenly interuppted from miu grabbing their hands.

she pulled them down to the picnic blanket, surrounded by grass and flowers. "don't ruin the mood, geez!" miu laughed gently, crossing her legs as she sat down.

"ruining the mood? that's so mean!" kokichi pouted, but seeing her grin, he let go of the act and let out a soft chuckle.

looking closer, kokichi was wearing his signature scarf and an oversized hoodie. it was a light purple with dark purple pockets, his shorts under the hoodie and his fingers peeking under the sleeves.

"it's nice to see you two laugh together. it's...endearing. cute." kiibo blushed slightly, smiling.

kokichi's eyes lit up when he saw a way to pester the robot, grinning. "i'm cute? me? me, a total liar, cute?" he scooched closer to the robot until their noses were almost touching. kiibo looked shocked, their cheeks flushing red. "er....yesssssss?"

"argh, kokichi quit iiiiiiit... you're playing with his emotions." miu grumbled, glancing away.

"whaaaat? is miu iruma, ultimate inventor jealous? the literal dumpster and clown of a person is jealous? wow, this was so unpredictable!" he smirked, purring a taunting laugh.

"w-wha?! clown of a person?!" miu sucked in a heavy, anxious breath.

"you guys are so easy to mess around with; tsk, tsk tsk! so predictable." he pulled away from kiibo, still confident and unbothered. he looked at the plants around him.

kiibo slowly calmed down, their breath slowing. "oh well."

miu melted into a smile as she looked at kokichi, playful and happy. "aw, geez! this lying idiot can't get enough of us, ahahaha!" she swept kokichi into her arms, and then, for good measure, grabbed kiibo too and hugged them both lovingly.

butterflies fluttered in kokichi's heart as he looked at her in alarm, embarassed and a little attached. "d-don't hug me, you cockroach!" he protested.

kiibo and miu looked back at him, miu looking a little hurt and kiibo looking confused. it sent a shiver down his spine, his heart dropping. "..hm?"

"that was just a lie. keep hugging me, i don't care." he sighed, being pulled back into the embrace. he didn't mind as much this time. of course, kiibo did, but he was getting surprisingly better at handling touch when it was romantic.

kiibo pulled away, soon enough. "alright, well... i don't want it to get dark before we leave. you two should probably start eating, if you don't mind my advice."

"fiiiiine." kokichi shifted away and bit into a sandwich. miu ate as well, quiet.

"you know, you can cook decently, kiiboy." kokichi mentioned, shrugging.

"i can? ah, i'm happy to hear that." he smiled, pleased.

"you look so pleased after such a half-assed compliment.." miu looked surprised, laughing.

"half assed? can you really not speak without cursing or talking about yourself at all?" he taunted, smirking.

"o-of course i can, dumbass!" miu huffed, as kokichi raised an eyebrow.

"err..kiibo is a fu-i mean, kiibo is an a-amazing...shi-sandwich  maker?.." miu seemed to put a lot of effort into the sentence, like it was a workout to form it.

"you kind of crashed and burned with that one, iruma...even i can admit that." kiibo looked awkward, laughing a little and playing with a hair strand.

"huh?! what's that's supposed to mean? even if i can't do t-that one tiny thing well, i'm an amazing genius who'll change the world with her inventions! i rule!" miu stuttered, stumbling on her words with her embarrassment.

"even so, i was proven right. you can't do it; even kiiboy agrees, nishishi!" kokichi beamed.

"shut up, argh." with a flourish, she dropped the sandwich onto a plate and sat her head on kiibo's lap. "ow."

"if it hurts, get off.." they sniffed, his small, shy smile held firmly on their face.

"yeah, get off, miu. i need room!" kokichi pouted. "no, goddammit! find your own place!"

"what am i, a chair...?" kiibo muttered.

"you might as well be!" kokichi barked a laugh.

kiibo ignored the remark, and made miu reluctantly move over so the two partners could peacefully rest on their boyfriend.
