miu was working on an invention when she was tapped on the shoulder. "hm?"

"ah- hello, miu!" kiibo beamed.

"oh, hey kiibo. what's up? i'm kinda busy, so.." she looked back at her work, but was still listening to him.

"oh, my apologies. i can come back another time, if you'd prefer. i just want to ask about something." he nodded and started to step away.

"hey! just tell me now, or i'm gonna be thinking about it for the rest of the goddamn day!" she scoffed.

"alright. well, i wanted to ask if you wanted to go to an arcade with us? kokichi told me about them and they sound enjoyable."

"oh, that's all? well, if that's it, then sure! we can go to an arcade, yeah. let's go in 30 minutes." she smiled, surprised.

"thank you!"

---

"all right, ready to go! my invention is gonna come out and make this genius millions!" miu laughed loudly as she walked down the stairs to meet kiibo and kokichi.

as they stepped outside, kokichi grinned. "you sure it's gonna be good? what if it's another stupid commando gun?"

kiibo rolled his eyes as they bickered. soon they were at the arcade!

"oh my god, it's space invaders! you guys gotta come see this!" miu gasped, grabbing their hands and dragging them both over to the machine.

"multiplayer...up to three players. perfect!" kiibo's eyes sparkled in excitement.

"aw, man...i'm so horrible at this. even a beginner robot could beat me, and robots can't even play video games, let alone a slut." kokichi whined his lie with a sad frown.

"don't worry, being a loser isn't that horrible." miu snickered triumphantly, though she almost started stuttering at his insult.

yet it was. it was the most horrible thing to miu, losing to both her boyfriends who had supposedly no idea on how to play the game. worse, kokichi won first place. how terrible was that?!

"look who won now! and you were so, so sure you'd be on top! but don't worry, it's not that horrible. " he snickered.

"it's alright, miu - don't be sad." kiibo held in a laugh as they comforted her.

and yet miu didn't win nearly as many games. when she did, she would brag a ton, but still not nearly as many. her ego was, in a simple manner, way smaller by the last game.

the claw machine.

first, kiibo took his turn with the claw machine. with a little help from miu and kokichi, he got a plushie! it was a penguin, and it was fuzzy and soft.

miu tried and even with their help, she couldn't get it. she sighed, discouraged. "can we..erm, not come back here? i've done nothing but lose this whole time." she fumbled with a strand of her hair.

she saw kokichi sneaking a sympathetic glance at her, then looking away quickly. "don't get so sad, it makes me just pity you. and i'm not one for pity, so..."

kokichi took his turn and confidently got a plushie. it was a small dog that was brown and white with blue eyes.

suddenly, the dog plushie was pushed into her hands.

"here."

miu felt surprised, happily clenching it in her hands. she looked at him, who was wearing an embarassed grin.

"uh..thank you! i wouldn't expect this from you of all people, kokichi.." her cheeks flushed with a blush, forming across her cheeks.

"it's whatever. kiiboy's giving you one too, so don't be so sappy and stupid about this one small thing." he avoided her curious eyes.

miu turned her head to kiibo, who was happily smiling.

"well, we saw how you kept losing and you seemed so..sad. i'm not amazing at reading people's emotions, but even i could see it. so, ah... here. have this." they chuckled, mostly out of his shy behavior.

he handed miu the penguin, and she smiled back at the two. "thank you..these are adorable." she let out a small giggle, happy.

she felt a flutter in her heart, like she could explode with a fizzing crush welling up inside her. shakily she kissed the two on the cheek. their reactions were different but similar in the same way, and it was tugging at her heartstrings.

she'd never tell anyone, not a soul, but.. she was happy, so, so, so happy with them. like she could dance and laugh and be herself and no one but these two specific people would care. it sent a chill down her spine, it sent a rush of adrenaline, it sent a waterfall forming in her mouth that could come rushing out; full of all their qualities and every little thing she would notice about them.

how kiibo could just understand what she meant all the time. he looked right through her, and it was refreshing. like she didn't need to explain - they knew.

how kokichi could make her feel like she was dancing everytime he said her name, how she knew she was safe and cared for with him, even if he wouldn't show it.

she loved those two little plushies. the little memories that came with them.

as they walked out of the arcade, out of the car, and all took their seperate ways she was still thinking about them both. it was a constant buzz in miu's head, so loud, exciting and pleasant that she had to block it out by smothering her face in pillows.
