Mia didn't have any option but to tell Michael about her mother. Mia eyed the servants and Michael understood what she was saying. He told them to leave, closing the door before leaving.
She told him everything about how her mother was a witch and how she treated Mia. But she skipped the part about how she died. She even told him about Jake and how her mother threatened to kill him if she spoke to him.
Michael couldn't help but feel bad for Mia.
"I will help you get out of her leash and don't worry about me, she can not do anything to me. " He assured Mia.
"Now go to sleep, you have school tomorrow." He said as he left her room.
Mia was a little relieved now that she told Michael everything but she was still worried about him since she knew her mother can actually kill people.
Once when Mia was young, she had seen Alina bring a woman back to their house. The woman wasn't alive though. She was covered with blood. Alina dragged the woman to the attic, put her there, came out, and locked the door. After that one time, Mia had seen many other people being brought to the attic in the same state as the woman.
She didn't understand what was happening since she was young but as she grew up, she realized that she had so many dead bodies in the attic of her house. She would often hear Alan and Alina fighting. Alan knew about the bodies and had often threatened divorce but he never had the guts to do it. And finally one day he decided to leave but ended up killing Alina.
She lied down and stared at the wall until she fell asleep.
The next day, she was woken up by the sound of her alarm. She groaned and shut her alarm off. She got up and saw fresh towels and a new uniform at the foot of her bed.
She took the towels and uniform and went into the washroom to take a quick shower and get ready for school. After she was ready, she checked herself for the last time before going out of her room and heading downstairs for breakfast.
When she reached the dining room, she was greeted by the servants and a smiling Michael. She greeted him with a small smile and sat for breakfast. After eating, Michael told a driver to drop Mia at school.
She picked up her bag, said goodbye to Michael, and followed the driver to the car.
After a 10 minute drive, they were finally at Beacon high, her school. She stepped out of the car. She sighed deeply before stepping into the building.
As she walked through the corridors of the school, she could feel people's eyes on her, they were whispering and pointing at her. She didn't care and just kept walking. She reached her locker and was removing books from her locker when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see a girl, who Mia recognized immediately.
It was the most popular girl in the school, Aria. She was a very mean girl. Mia always wondered why she was so popular because other than good looks, Aria wasn't good at anything. She always failed and was very mean to people.
"What do you want Aria?" Mia asked with an annoyed expression.
"I heard you are an orphan now," Aria replied. Hearing this, Mia's expression changed from an annoyed one to a sad one. "Aww is someone sad?" Aria added, seeing the expression change on Mia's face. Aria was not concerned, she was bullying Mia.
She was clearly taking advantage of Mia's vulnerable condition. As Aria continued bullying her, Mia just let her head hang low while trying to stop her tears from bursting out.
While Mia was being bullied, everyone was minding their own business except for one person. That person was recording everything Aria was doing to Mia.
That's it for this chapter.
Hope you liked it.
And also, who do you think was recording everything?
