The Captain's POV

After being handed a shrapnel launcher, a few canisters of ammo, and a pair of shock blades, I was pushed into the hallway by the Baroness. I'm supposed to find the other guardians, but she didn't even tell me where to lo-

"I can't believe you agreed to give her information!" Phox's voice rang through my head as I started down the hall.

"Little Phox, I need ether... you said that the tower didn't have a fallen presence, yes? That means there aren't servitors... which means no ether..." The hallway was empty aside from myself, but in the distance, I could hear soft thudding, almost like footsteps.

"I could revive you, I've done it before! you shouldn't NEED ether, guardians don't NEED food and water, Wolffe!" I stopped in confusion as she said Wolffe. "Sorry... I thought that it was better than just "Captain" or "Fallen" So... do... do... do you like it?"

"yes, I do, but right now we need to focus little Phox. Can you tell me where the other two light-bearers are?" I continued down the hallway, in the distance hearing what sounded like gunshots.

"Well, one of them is down the hall a little ways, the other is outside. The awoken should be headed this way since she's probably trying to wreak havoc on the reactor." Phox went quiet for a moment, seemingly thinking. "She feels familiar... like... an old friend." I hurried down the hall at a faster pace, keeping the shrapnel launcher in a low and ready position.

"Old friend? Is she kind, little ghost?" I asked, tilting my head slightly as gunshots and growls grew closer, along with hurried footsteps.

"If she's who I think she is, then she's the kindest person I know..." Phox whispered as we got closer, before I rounded a corner, and was suddenly shot in the face.

I was almost immediately revived, and came back to a yelling contest. "HOLY SHIT, THAT THINGS A GUARDIAN?!"

"HE'S MY GUARDIAN, SO DONT GO SHOOTING JUST ANYTHING YOU SEE EVA!" I looked up and around to see Phox, quite angry, the woman who shot me, completely confused, and a second ghost staring at me.

"I'M NOT EVA! I'M HYX! HOW DID YOU KNOW MY SISTER?!" I finally stood up, shrapnel launcher in hand, and gently petted the back of Phox's shell, while also patting the woman's shoulder.

"Calm yourselves, there are enemies near, we should leave." The second ghost floated towards the woman, giving a soft nod.

"I was just about to say that myself, bug guy." I tilted my head in confusion.

"bug guy?" I let Phox float into my fur cloak and make herself comfortable, before I readied my shrapnel launcher at the sound of scampering feet.

"Forget it, we need to go!" The woman tried to sprint past me, but I picked her up by her cloak and started carrying her with me.

"Exactly, so why would one run deeper in the ship if we're getting out?" Phox disappeared into my head, while the woman squirmed and tried to get out of my grip.

"Put me down you big dumb fallen! We need to blow the reactor so this thing cant do damage to the city!" The woman suddenly swiped at me with a pair of knives, only for my lower two arms to grab her wrists.

I've got to think of something quick... something that could convince her... something that'll let us leave without harming the Baroness or her Ketch and house... Ketch... a whole Ketch full of a house. "Little guardian, we are surrounded, the chances of us, and in turn, our ghosts dying, is high, we should go!"

"He... has a point, Hyx." The woman's male ghost spoke again.

"Smooth" Phox whispered without the others hearing, still a bit annoyed over my transaction.

I'm sorry little Phox, but I... I cant live without ether... I kept carrying the woman, who just growled and gave up her resistance, before the four of us arrived at an airlock, the sounds of skittering and chatter all around us at this point.

"We're going to have to jump..." Phox said out loud, the woman nodding in agreement.

"Yeah... maybe... unless..." Almost as if on queue, a ship that resembled something of three cylinders strapped together flew alongside the airlock, before tipping it's wing slightly towards the woman. "YES! Thank you Wire!" The woman kicked me in the side, thus launching herself out of the Ketch and onto the ship, except she didn't hit the ship, instead she seemed to fade away half way through her jump.

"Guardian! Jump!" Two arc rounds narrowly missed me, before a wire rifle's crack filled the air, and i felt a sharp pain in my neck, instead of jumping, I ended up falling out of the ketch, and fell towards the ship. Is this it? Brought back... just to die? After receiving no response, my mind went blank, and I was consumed by death once more.
