"I don't understand, what do you mean choose? You promised, you can't break your promise! What about the fact that I belong to both of you?" Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes begging to be released.

"I know, but things have changed. Hisoka and I made a deal, whichever one you choose there is no hard feelings towards the other. From almost the beginning this was going to happen." Illumi tried to pull me into an embrace but I backed away refusing.

"I still don't understand, you two went behind my back to break a promise?!" I was pissed that they would do such a thing.

"Y/n, we both have different lives and aspirations, we can't run around forever to please you." Hisoka stated. "Are you asking us to give up our personal lives and dreams to keep up a façade with you? Now that wouldn't be fair."

"Y/n, I'm not asking you to choose between us. I'm asking you to marry me. No matter who you choose, you will still be a valued friend to the other." Illumi grabbed my shoulders turning me to face him.

My face turned to look at Hisoka, he simply placed his hands on his hips and shrugged. I turned back to Illumi, every moment we had spent together flashed before my eyes, then I saw every possibility, everything we could be, all the things we could keep doing.

"You know, I'm really bad at making decisions." I took his hands off my shoulders and held them in my hands. "But I think you're the right one to make." I smiled at him and the typically dead fish-like eyes filled with glee. The corners of his lips curled upwards and without time for either of us to process what was going on his lips were on mine.

"Well if that's how it is I'll be going then~" Hisoka started strutting away before I grabbed onto him.

"Where will you go?" I asked feeling bad for not choosing him.

"I, my sweet~ Will be leaving to challenge someone really strong and find something more thrilling then being with you~"  He smirked as he leaned in close to my face. "I've been waiting for a long time to fight this guy."

"I want you to be safe then, and once you beat him we'll all have to go on another adventure together." I gently punched his shoulder tears once again brimming my eyes.

"Of course~ I'll see you two around then." And just like that he was gone.

Feeling Illumi place his hand on my waist I turned to him throwing myself into his embrace. "Until we meet back up with him why don't we have an adventure of our own? A really long one, just us two."

"Are you sure you made the right choice?" He looked deep into my eyes trying to find my resolve.

"I have no doubt I made the right  choice, though I would like to leave your house as soon as possible and get far away from your mom." I chuckled lightly nuzzling my head into his shoulder.

"If that's what you would like, I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Supporting the other, not in the way or being a distraction but as equal partners. I love you y/n and would do anything to keep you safe by my side."

Word count 800

I have finally done it, I have finished this damn story.

The end chapters will be a bit shorter than normal chapters because they're more of a continuation/part 2 to The Beginning Of The End and I really don't have enough care or motivation to write a whole 1000 word chapter.

I hope this ending was satisfactory to you all and I want to apologize for how long it took me to write this. I fell out of the Hunter x Hunter fandom a long time ago, I also no longer simp for Hisoka (I still love Illumi though). Even when I fell out of the fandom I still had every intention of finishing this book, I just got really busy with life. I don't feel the need to explain or justify what exactly has been going on but it's been a lot. Also with the more time I spent away from this story the more my hatred grew for it, I hated that I couldn't just get it done, I hated that it wasn't as good as my other fics but still managed to be more popular than some of the ones I worked the hardest on. I wanted to just delete it and move on. But really I hated who I was when I was writing this story, I hated the people who were my 'friends' and influencing my personality to be what they wanted instead of who I really am.

Anyway I'll stop blabbering on and let you all get on with your lives.

If you are reading all of the endings this will be the authors note at the end of all of them so there's no need to read it again and again.
