Pairing: Saihara/Ouma

I walk along the sidewalk to my best friend Kokichi's house. Today we're going to have a sleepover.

When I get there, Kokichi's mom opens the door. "He's in his room, waiting for you," she says. "Okay!" I say. I walk up the stairs and into Kokichi's room. "Heeey Shumai!" he says with a mischievous smile. I giggle and blush a little at the nickname he gave me. "We're gonna watch movies all night long," he says, exaggerating his words, but knowing him, he'll probably fall asleep.

He grabs his laptop and sits down on his bed. I close the door and sit next to him. "So what are we gonna watch first?" I ask him. He opens up his laptop and he says, "Hmmm let's see." He clicks on a random movie and reads the description. "This looks good," he says. It seems like a murder mystery set in a school.

"Come here," he says, pulling me closer to him. I blush, and we snuggle up on Kokichi's bed and pull the blankets onto us. He sets the laptop on top of us and presses the play button.

We watch a couple of movies, and at around midnight, I notice Kokichi is asleep. I pause the movie and set the laptop on the nightstand. If I move, I'll probably wake him up, and I don't want to do that, so I guess I'll just stay right where I am. I eventually fall asleep, Kokichi snuggled up against my chest.

When I wake up, it's already midday. I almost panic for a second, thinking that I'm late for school, before remembering that it's Saturday.

I feel Kokichi move slightly beside me. "Hey," I say. "Oh, hey Shumai," he says sleepily, "Sorry for falling asleep on you." He starts to wake up a little more. I smile at him and say, "Don't worry. We're friends right?"

"Huh? Yeah, friends," he says, but there's something a little off about his voice. "You okay?" I ask, and I can see that familiar look in his eyes that shows he had accidentally let his true feelings control him for a second. He smiles, "Yup! Just fine!"

"I can tell something's wrong," I say. He looks away, a little bit embarrassed that I could tell. "It's just..." he starts, "Oh, it's stupid. Nevermind." I frown a bit, "Just tell me."

He sighs, "I just... I want to be more than friends." More than friends? He's still looking away from me, but I can tell he's blushing. If he's saying what I think he saying, it would be like a dream come true, but he couldn't possibly mean that he has feelings for me...

Kokichi turns around and looks at me. "I'm sorry," he whispers, "I shouldn't have said that." His face is red, and he looks like he's about to cry. Does that mean he really does like me? "Don't be," I say, enveloping him in a warm hug. "What?" he asks.

"Don't be sorry," I say. "But I made it awkward," he says, "I made you uncomfortable." I give him a warm smile, "Stop it."

My breath hitches at the thought of what I'm about to do, but I do it anyway. As my lips meet his, I can tell that he is more than content. He leans in closer, his eyes closing, his arms wrapping around my back.

I run my hands through his purple locks, smelling the sweet and familiar scent of that grape conditioner he loves so much. I can feel the softness of his pink lips against mine, even taste the lingering mintiness of the toothpaste he brushed his teeth with the night before.

Our lips part and I open my eyes. "Shuichi, I-" he starts, but he is interrupted by me leaning into him again. I put my hand on his hip as our lips once again meet. From behind me, I can hear the click of the door opening.

"What exactly is going on here?" I hear a feminine voice from behind me. I part from the kiss to see Kokichi's mother standing in the doorway, hands on her hips. "Oh, uh, hi mom," Kokichi says, awkwardly laughing.

"And what were you two doing?" she asks sternly. "Um, kissing?" Kokichi murmurs softly. "Well, you two better not be doing anything... weird," making both of us blush an even deeper red. "Mom!" Kokichi exclaims.

"Oh, and Shuichi," she smiles at me, "If you do anything to hurt him, anything at all, I will hurt you." She promptly exits the room and closes the door behind her.

"Your mother," I began, "Is terrifying." He smiled at me with a mischievous grin, "Well, maybe one day she'll be your mother-in-law."

"Ah! Kokichi!" I exclaimed. My face was probably so red it could compete with a tomato. He giggles and kisses my cheek. "Just joking!" he says, "Maybe."
