"Best friends foreverrrrr."
I remember those exact words, even after 5 years.

I thought of where I was then, just a teen who didn't have any sort of life. And now… a famous streamer…

I stared at my ceiling, the blanket tangled between my legs. Everytime I thought about this I was amazed at how far I've gotten, even if most of my clout came from Dream.

I held my hands up, looking around my room at the variations of ugly shades. The only colors I did admire was the short supply of blue, vibrant against everything else.

I reached for my phone, which was buried under my cat. I pulled it from under them gently, careful not to wake them up.

I opened Snapchat to see some texts from Dream.

Dream:
Georgeee
Georrgeeegegege
Goegrgay
Greorgegee
Georgey wake upp

Me:
Whats up?

Dream:
Want to stream together today??

Me:
On the smp?

Dream:
Whatever you want

Me:
I'm getting kind of bored of Minecraft, can we just do a chatting stream?

Dream:
Wow that's different
Sure

Me:
Ok :D
We can just like talk to the chat and stuff
I can have my camera on with my cat and whatever.

Dream:
Cool

I've been considering doing one of these streams for awhile, just to see what Dream would do. Honestly everything you do is about him now. An intruding voice came in before I pushed it away.

You've been in denial about liking him ever since that one voice came in. Everybody else says you do, why don't you listen to us, George?

"Because I don't want to listen to you." I muttered angrily. "I want to have a friend without being attracted to him."

Oh, George. You have to admit it, you love it when he says your name, it hypnotizes you. And his flirting always makes it worse, everybody can hear how mushy your voice gets.

"That doesn't mean anything."

Why do you think your fans ship you two so much? They can tell how flustered you get. Dream knows it, too.

"Shut up."

Dont tell yourself to shut up, George.

"You aren't me."

Who else would we be? We're in your head after all.

"I get it. I know you guys are right, ok? But I can't focus on relationships, especially since me and Dream aren't going to be in one. So just let me live my life."

The voices stopped, causing me to let out a relieving sigh. I stood up and decided to take shower, since it's been awhile and I'm doing a camera stream.

The water was warm against my skin, comforting against the cold November morning. I just remembered it was like 4 am for Dream. His sleep schedule is all messed up.. and it’s mainly my fault.

I lathered my hair with shampoo and let it wash out before turning off the water. I stood there for a few seconds, staring at my hands, comparing how big they were to my wrists. I sighed, then stepped out of the shower, towel around my waist. I made my way to the kitchen and got out a box of instant pancake mix and a waffle maker.
