This is super short but don't worry I'm currently writing the next chapter as this is being posted.

Ummm sorry for the lack of updates 😖 I hope to update a lot more now though! So thank you to those who stuck by.

"Thanks for waiting. I couldn't find my locker for shit in this damn school." Bella smiles back in response and climbs into her truck. With a slight frown Aleena follows.

"You okay?"

"Huh? Oh yeah sorry just thinking."

"Why what's up?"

"Oh nothing just Alice asked where you live." Aleena raises a eyebrow at this,"

"Why?" Bella shrugs, "Well that's not too bad though you seemed like you just heard someone died."

"You've fit in well with them."

"Oh yeah they're pretty cool people. You got some good friends Bells." Bella sends a awkward smile to Aleena who clearly isn't understanding Bella's confusion forgetting that this family seemed unapproachable to the rest of the school and that not everyone knows they're vampires.

"Well let's go then." Aleena smiles and hops into the truck. Bella doesn't reply just gets into the drivers seat confused and slightly frustrated.

"Where too first then? What's this shitty town got to offer us?"

"Hey!" Bella complains with a laugh.

"Alright sorry sorry but seriously where we going?"

"Well I know you're more of a outdoors person so I thoughts I'd show you around the woods and the beaches rather then the shops."

"Sounds good!"

Aleena doesn't return home till much later in the night carrying a bag of some cakes she got at a shop to give to her mam. Aleena is nervous as she turns to Bella in the truck knowing she needs to tell her something that may just change how the brunette sees her,

"Hey Bella...?"

"Yeah?"

"I need to tell you something pretty big." Bella tenses slightly and turns to look at the girl properly,

"Okay... what is it? you're not getting really ill again right?" Aleena instantly shakes her head and Bella calms down quickly.

"No it's not that it's just that, well,-" I can't do this. I'm not ready. "Your birthday card didn't get lost in the post last year i forgot to send it!" Bella's face drops from worried to 'what the fuck' quite quick,

"I kinda guessed but I mean you had a lot going on. Is that really what you wanted to tell me?"

"Mhm seeing you in person made me feel guilty so I thought i should tell you, anyway thanks for showing me around I really loved the beach see you later!" With a rushed out reply Aleena is quick to hop out the truck and rush into the house. Once she shuts the and realised the house is empty she sinks to the floor,

"Fuck." Bella would be leaving early in the morning to visit her mom, Aleena could only hope Edward didn't mention about her while they were gone.
