《 L A I K E 》

"Hey Laike, I need you to stay with me alright, you're going to be okay" An unfamiliar voice said. Trying to open my eyes, the light burned, making me instantly close them again.
I forced my eyes open and it took a minute for them to adjust to the light. There were cables all around me, I instantly looked down at my body, and saw red hot burns that littered my torso. "What happened to me?" A blonde girl about my height came into the room after what sounded to previously be arguing with somebody outside.

"I don't care Apollo! I told you this would happen, and wa-la it did. You know the rules, pain until acceptance, and as the nice person I am, I'm certainly not letting her go through more pain because of you, you stupid jacka*s!" I had heard her yell. On closer inspection, aka she came walking toward me, I noticed she had green eyes and a knitted white sweater with baby blue jeans. "Sorry Laike, about that whole thing. Anyway, I'm Spirit" I gave her a weak smile and she gave me her hand to shake. I accepted as she beamed happily at me.

"You may know my friends, Axton and Apollo?" I slowly nodded my head, wondering where on earth this could be going. "I need to tell you something about us-" She was interrupted by a fuming Apollo Knight running through the door and yelling at her to stop. "Are you insane Spirit?! She can't know, not like this, not now, not ever!" She rolled her eyes at him, "I'll tell my friend whenever I feel is right Ignis!" I had absolutely no clue about the last word she said. "De illa nihil ad me attinet, non est meus aequalis et non erit gens pars nostra!" He roared, speaking what sounded to be like some form of Latin.

"Speak bloody English will you, I cant be bothered to translate Latin. So fortuna off!" Apollo stormed out, nostrils flaring. "I apologise about him, he has no filter sometimes, I can guess you have a lot of questions about why he said those things-" I cut her off. "Spirit, you are aware I have no idea what he just said." Her face fell but then etched back into a smile. "Then you have nothing to worry about, it was silly of me to assume you knew fluent latin anyway."

I sighed, although I was very grateful that she was here keeping me company, I still have absolutely no idea how on earth I got these burns. "Spirit, you don't know anything about these burns do you?" She instantly tensed next to me. "The doctors said they hadn't found a reason for them. Its really...out of the ordinary" Well, that was vague. "I... don't know I just" Then it came back to me, the burning had started after I had bumped into Apollo. "It was...after I crashed into Apollo. Do you think it's his fault, I wouldn't put it past him. We've always hated eachother!"

If anything, her face fell even more, I heard her mutter something to herself. "They're doomed" My eyes widened, "What?" I questioned.

"Nothing"
