Holy moly macaroni, the water fountains had exploded, all the water bottles on the tables in the cafeteria and even the sprinklers came on all at the exact same moment. Jeez that girl must have some serious anger issues to be able to do all this damage.

The cafeteria was in chaos, girls had their hands over their hair, boys seemes unamused, Theo seemed traumatised, and our table were all looking at me like they all knew something, "Come on, let's get you out of here" Caramel hair pulled me up from my seat and escorted me out the room, swiftly followed by everybody else who was sitting at our table. Darcey was the first to speak up, "What the hell was that! Theodore was set on fire and then all the water system started going haywire!"

She yelled it like she was panicked, but I could tell that she wasn't worried, far from it, but that she was more annoyed than anything. "Come on, you're coming home with us" That time it was Spirit who spoke, "Fine, but only because I don't want to be attacked by some deranged plumbing gone wrong"

Before this very moment I did not know the extent of how close Apollo, Caramel Hair, Darcey, Everest, Spirit and Axton really were. They all live together in this house, apparently they have different roles to play in the upkeep of it, when I asked what Apollo did, Darcey told me he had to do the laundry, and that he hated it, which I had previously presumed anyway, and that he never told anyone as he was embarrassed by it.

Everybody has their own bedroom, with one extra that wasn't decorated, "We were supposed to have somebody move in with us, but they never came, so..." She trailed off before closing the door. We sat down in Darcey's bedroom as she explained what goes on in the house.

Darcey's room was almost in a bohemian style, some fake vines on the wall, a neutral colour palette, with an earthy sort of aethestic throughout.

"What was your last name again Laike?" I asked her why and she just said something about liking researching family names and where they come from. "It's Ouelette, it's not from around here." She nodded.

"Don't you live with your aunt?" I slowly nodded, if she couldn't remember my last name, how would she know, that I lived with my aunt? "Why don't you live with your parents? If you don't mind me asking" I contemplated how I was going to answer her question for a moment before I decided on how I was going to phrase it. "They died when I was very young, so I don't remember them, then I was moved to an orphanage until I was twelve, and then they found out about my aunt and so I went to her" Something looked like it clicked inside of Darcey.

Everything makes sense now, the red hair, no parents, why she lives with her aunt, why we couldn't track her family.

"Laike, is there any chance you could be adopted?"
