When Tides Collide

-Chapter Five-

Y/N didn't move a muscle when Luna pulls her hand to go into the deep water.Luna can feel her terrified by watching Y/N's hand that she held shakes wildly.

Luna:Y/N,you ok?

Y/N:I'm fine but it's just... I'm...uh...allergic to salty water. So...um...yup! It will effect badly on me.

Luna:Well,I can help you with that.You can swim underwater like it's nothing!You can also breathe underwater like I did! Will you trust me?

Y/N:Well,you're my best friend alright so...yeah,Let's do it.

Luna:Good.Now close your eyes and I'll do the work for you.

Luna sits next to her curled up friend and starts to pat Y/n's head to make her feel better.She then puts her forehead on Y/N's and light blue dusts surrounds both of them,even Y/N's closed eyes can see the brightness of the dust.

Luna:Now,try to touch the water slowly to see if my magic works on you or not.

Y/N is totally frightened, but she pulls herself from the fear and slowly approaches the sea and dips her claws in it.Moments later, nothing bad happened.

Luna:Well,it worked!Now,are you ready?

Y/N:*gulps* r-ready as I'll ever b-be.

Luna:I know you're afraid, but I'm here for you.Let's go together.

Luna lends her hand out to Y/N and helps Y/N to stand up.As both of them almose fully submerged in water, Y/N holds a deep breath and closes her eyes shut.The sound of the crickets chirping starts to fade away and all she can hear are only the echoes underwater.

Luna:Y/N,you can open your eyes now.

Y/N slowly opens her eyes and blinks rapidly. She can see a whole new world right in front of her.Colourful bright corals,fishes and turtles swimming right above us-like they are floating on air!

Luna:Well,it totally works!Your eyes will not stop blinking because you're adjusting the the light that you received from the corals so you can see the bottom of the ocean easily.Oops,forgot to tell you the last part of my magic.Sorry!

Y/N:*Shrugs* wheres the thing that you said?

Luna:Both of them are behind you silly.

Y/N turns her head and sees a large school of fishes chased by two enormous blue whales.only some of them escaped because the whales stopped to see both of the girls.The whales start to swim near Luna and she pets both of them.

Luna:Well,looks like they're interested in you because it's the first time to see another phoenix besides me.Want to try and pet one?

Y/N:*nods*

Luna:Um...you can breathe now?

Y/N quickly gasps for air because she's been holding her breath for too long.

Y/N:Whew...I thought I almost drown just now...hehe *blushes*

Luna:I told you that you can breathe underwater!Now the blue bird just turned red～*laughs*

Y/N:Okay,okay....stop it! You'll make me redder in front of these whales!

Luna:Okay,fine.I'll stop
*gives Y/N a noogie*

Y/N:Hey!You've ruined my feathers!*buzzed off*

P/s:noogie is when someone rubbing their knuckles on other's head. Thank me later ✨

Luna:*laughs* Sorry, mate.Here,try to pet him.He's really gentle.

Luna holds Y/N's hand and gently put it on the whale.Y/N pets the whale slowly and-he liked it!

Y/N:Wow,what a cutie he is!Aren't you,boy?

Y/N starts to pinch the whales cheek and lands on top of his head. The whale slowly starts to turn red.Luna and Y/N looked at each other and laughed to see the whale's reaction.

Luna:Seems like your boy here is a little bit shy, huh?

Luna pets the other whale which is slightly larger than him.The four of them play tag together for a while.

Y/N:*pants* I'm beat.Want to lay down for a moment?

Luna:Fine by me.I'm confused on how are you panting?I mean...we're underwater right?

Y/N:Hey!swimming is like running but...floating, you know.

Luna:Seems logical.Come,let's go.

Both of them reach the surface again.Y/N lays down on the grass and hugs the ground.

Y/N:I miss you land! *kisses the ground*

Luna:Ew,gross!

Luna joins Y/N-without kissing the ground-and both of them bursts into laughter.

Luna:Thanks for telling me who you really are,Y/N.

Y/N:Right back at you,girl!I thought I'm the only one who is mythical around here.

Luna:I thought I was the only one too.

Both of them spend the night away,looking at the full moon and the whales jumping out of water. Tonight is the best night ever.
