Doug thought of a clever idea and thought it up quick and stuffed David in a crate and both set sail for Africa. While David didn't mind being in the crate Melman was scared of tight spaces. After about 5 hours on the boat, Doug approached a sailor to ask how much longer it would take for them to reach Africa. The sailor informed Doug it would take around 35 days for them to reach the coast. Doug shrieked so loudly he blew out said sailor's ears and continued to scream and shout till he reached the crate where David was standing. Doug was shaking his head in a fury and kept screaming. At this point Doug's face we beet red and his veins were popping out of his neck and face. Despite not taking much time in between screams to breathe, Doug was continuously screaming as loud as he possibly could. David noticed this. While Doug's head was still swinging around wildly, David grabbed Doug's head and gave him a little kiss on the forehead. This calmed down Doug instantly and all the red from his face instantly faded. Doug meekly said "Thanks, Dave. But I have some news! We are stuck on this ship for 35 days!!!" David's eyes widened a little and drooped back down. David goes "That's a real pickle I'd say. What if someone sees me turn into a giraffe?" Doug goes "I won't be able to put out another episode of my hit show THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC. And I haven't missed a week in at least seven years." David wasn't good at talking Doug down when it came to his show so he did a little spin and hope it distracted him enough so he would at least change the topic. This didn't work but David mentioned "Why don't you just use the backup episodes that you made?" Doug nodded fast and sent an email out to his lackeys telling them to do as such. Doug sighs "Guess there goes my three weeks vacation?" Doug hung his head in disappointment and all David could do was comfort him. In the coming days, this was a daily routine of Doug screaming about something and David having to hold him and comfort him till he calmed down. Doug woke up with great fury one morning and yelled at David "THERE GOING SLOW ON PURPOSE!!!" and Doug grabbed his gun threatened the captain. The captain informed Doug that the ship was going as fast as it can. Doug yelling "Well!?!?! How fast is it going?!?!" The captain responded, "Sir it's going it's max speed of 24 knots." Doug angry at this "What do you mean by this?!?!? Just use mph like a normal person!?!" The captain shot a look of mild disgust at Doug and looked back at a sailor nearby holding the same expression. Doug was then tied up and sent to ship jail till the boat reached Africa. David all the while enjoyed his time on the boat and when he turned into Melman he was frequently seasick and conversed with the softer speaking sailors.
