THE GAZE

You need a break, Rita

Rita woke up with a slight pull on her head . 

beep beep

" Oh no ", she thought

"Ow.... Ouch ! "

It was all dark . She was closing her eyes hoping that nobody was surrounding her. Except Ria . 

She opened it . Her sight was all blurry . All she could see was a very bright light , the white stuff . When she looked down , someone was sitting there . The person looked at her .

" OMGG RITA YOUR ALIV- I mean okay ! , OMG I was so worried everyone was so worried ! OMG Thank gods your all right ! Oh this is all my fault ! OMG I am so sorr- "

" Ria ...."

" What ? "

" Can you please just shut up , calm the frick down and tell what happened , from when I-  it happened "

" Calm down- Ok calming down - Oh I can't ! - wait - ok - "

" So , I was sleeping and you were hacking even though I told you not to -"

" I wasn't doing it ! "

" And then I fell asleep . Then I felt someone come through the window , I thought it was just you opening it . But then I heard something hitting something and a THUD noise . I woke up to y-you-your *sniff* Bl-bleed-ing head . And you were unconsious , I hoped . And I climbed down , and that's when you woke up , and then I started crying and- " 

And thats when Ria's eyes were swimming with tears and almost waiting to burst out 

" and - and Ma came up to check up with Samarth , and the loud noise *sniff* *sniff* and *gasp* th-that's when she panicked and called everyone , and you were taken to the hospital. I was crying my eyes out. Samarth was also almost about to cry and *sniff* just- everyone was so worried ! "

" Oh ! so you were awake -"

" Here she Mrs.Kumar "

" RITA !! Oh thank god your alive !! oh we were so worried ! are you okay ? Doctor is she ok-"

" She is fine Mrs.Kumar . But , She has to stay in the hospital for a few weeks , because she has gotten a serious concussion . Luckily her sister had seen her just a few seconds after whatever happened , otherwise she would have gone into a coma "

Everybody was relieved and shocked . 

" Well , what about the concussion ? " asked Ria 

" Well , most cases of concussions don't need a surgery , but since this is a little more serious-"

" How serious ? " asked Ria

" Don't worry , it's not that  deep . Infact your sister is lucky to have awoke ,  because you saw her just in time "

" Do you need to put stitches or something ? " asked Rita

" Oh we already did, and if you are feeling some pain in the area it is totally normal . Patients tend to feel pain even after we put the stitches. "

" Oh so everything is going to be alright ? " asked Rita hopefully

" Well yes , but you have to stay in the hospital for a few days "

" For how many ? "

" Well, the recovery takes from 7-10 days. But we will need to remove the stitches from her head, give her the necessary medication, so we might take an extra day.

Then the doctor left 

" Reet ! OMG are you ok ? show me where you got hurt ! did it hurt where they put the stitches ? "

" Sam let your sister to rest "

" Rita, what happened ? how did you get hurt ? "

"Oh no " Rita thought

" Oh I've already asked Ria , and she said it's because she fell of the top bunk and hit her head on the ladder .... I'm not really sure it's true ...."

" But ma ! it is ! when I woke up to see where Rita is she was on the f-floor ! I'm telling the truth !"

" Oh shit ! what will happen now ? "

" Hmm .... well I think that it is a bit too-"

" But Pa ! you have to believe-"

" Rita, tell us, what happened . It's ok , whatever it is we'll all listen to you "

" Well, u-um " Rita stuttered 

" See, what happened was, I was just um you know doing some reading and then I felt sleepy, so I kept the book aside and slept beside Rita and Sam, so I must have just rolled of the bed, when I was in a sound sleep and hit my head on the ladder... Ouch ! "

" Hmm ok ....ok.... and that's when-"

" Oh enough is enough ! let her to rest ! " said her mother 

Then everybody left . Except Ria . She wanted to stay and apologize even more, but Rita said she should really go because 1. She had already forgiven her and  2. It wasn't her fault. But then she held her back and then asked 

" So you were awake when the person exited the window right ? "

" Y-Yes , why ? "

" Great ! now you at least describe whatever you saw and-"

" NO ! no more adventures and no more hacking ! whatever you do you get hurt ! and you have gotten hurt enough . No more of the Vixens shit for at least a week ! "

" But Rita-"

" I said no ! ....*sigh* Look , we're all worried even me , and I can't let you get hurt more . Plus , nobody knows what were doing, everybody is puzzled , and I'm struggling to give a valid reason, without Pa staring into my eyes . Please, just listen to me. Besides I've known my whole life and when you don't get stuff, you just forget about it for a while and sometimes, the answer just comes to you automatically . You need a break Rita

" Ok, fine . But only for a week ! "

" Ok ! " said Ria chuckling 

Then she left . It was quiet . Almost very quiet .

" Oh well " Rita thought to herself

She closed her eyes . Then she thought , "maybe I do need to break"

Then she closed her eyes and went to sleep almost immediately. 

She had a very bizzare dream. A VERY  bizzare dream
