Just over 12 years ago, Avatar Aang defeated former Fire Lord Ozai and established a new era of peace and tranquility. Zuko was crowned new Fire Lord and reunited with Mai. Katara and Aang shared their long-awaited kiss. Sokka and Suki *officially* became a couple. Toph trained a new generation of metalbenders.
Since the 100 year war, the nations have been making the utmost effort to heal and communicate. Fire Lord Zuko, Southern Cheif Hakoda, Northern chief Arnook, Earth King Kuei, and Avatar Aang meet once a month to help this healing.
Though they were children when the war ended, they have now grown into adults. Aang and toph are now 24, Katara is 26, Suki is 27, and Zuko and Sokka are 28.
