Before we get started, we need to discuss where everyone is 12 years post-war. This story will use BAG (Before Airbender genocide) and AG (after genocide.) I have also given them last names and birthdays, for the sake of the story.
Overall, since the war many things have happened. first, the Harmony Restoration Movement was founded by Earth King Kuei, Avatar Aang, and Firelord Zuko. Toph founded the Beifong Metalbended Academy (BMA). A citizen attempted to assassinate Zuko, and there was almost another war due to Zuko trying to remove the Fire Nation colonies from the Earth Kingdom.
The war ended in 100 AG. In 102 AG, the Gaang went on their search for Ursa, Zuko's mother, and found her. The Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom started a joint government, that would become the United Council of Nations in Legend of Korra. The New Ozai organization tried to overthrow Zuko (unsuccessfully). Ursa returned to the Fire Nation. Katara and Sokka returned to the southern water tribe after 2 years. Master Pakku started the Waterbending school.
In 103, Cranefish town, The future Republic City, was established.
Aang Tetsuki is now 24 years old. His birthday is on the 12th of June, 12 BG. Tetsuki means "wise spirit" and is a Buddhist Dharma name. Aang is presumed to be Buddhist because of his ideals and traditions. He is in a relationship with katara and has been *officially* for 12 years.
Katara Sangilak is 26 years old. Her birthday is January 30, 85 AG. Sangilak is an Inuit name meaning "strongest of all." She and Sokka are considered Inuit because of their hair, skin, clothing, etc.
Sokka Sangilak is 27 years old, born on 1 April 84 AG (no coincidence there) He is in a relationship with Suki. they've been officially together for 11 years and married for 3.
Toph Beifong is 24 and born on 8 august 87 AG.
Zuko Yang is 28 years old, born on July 18 83 AG. Yang is a Chinese royal name. He has been married to mai for 8 years.
Mai Yang is 26 years old. She was born on July 2, 85 AG.
Suki Isamu is 27 Years old, born 10 march 84 AG. She chose not to change her last name. Isamu means "Courageous Warrior" in Japanese.
Not all birthdays will be acknowledged and last names won't come up too much, but this was fun to research!
