Day 14
Dylan gets up though he wasn't able to sleep much. He kept thinking about Yue, her lips, her body, her rash...
He goes to her room and she is still sleeping. Doesn't she have to work?
"Shen Yue? How do you feel? Are you any better?" he asks sitting next to her on the bed, wanting to kiss her good morning, but her health is more important right now.
Yue squints her eyes and looks at Dylan. The medications he gave her made her a little drowsy and she had to call in sick because she couldn't get up. Besides, it took her forever to fall asleep after that mindboggling kiss... She has never felt her stomach twist and her heart hammer like they did last night. Who was going to sleep after that?
"How's the rash?" Dylan asks concerned.
Yue takes her arms out from underneath the blankets and shows them to him: they seem a lot better. Dylan is relieved. He tells her to rest and that he will bring her breakfast in bed. "You have nothing to worry about. I'm here!"
"Thanks, doctor..." she says joking with a feeble tone.
Yue is touched by his care, he truly is a nice guy. At least Mr. Wang did not force her to marry a villain.
Dylan spends the day checking up on Yue, bringing her food and hot beverages, and studying for his MBA. The semester is almost over and he needs to focus on the last couple of exams.
In the evening, Yue finally feels good enough to leave the bed. She goes downstairs and finds Dylan watching TV, he is waiting for some dinner he has ordered because he had no time to cook a big meal today.
When Yue comes down, the food arrives.
"Hey! You look better! I'm glad! And you are just in time for dinner! Come here, I ordered for the both of us... No sesame seeds! I hope you're not allergic to anything else..."
"I'm not - she chuckles. – Sorry for not telling you."
"What matters is that now you're fine."
"Thanks for taking care of me."
"You're welcome." he answers with a wink.
They eat sitting on the floor in front of the television, watching a comedy show and laughing.
"You only watch sports, some comedy shows and medical documentaries! Can we ever watch a movie?"
Dylan looks at her pleased about her request, it means she wants to spend more time together.
"Sure! Which one do you want to watch?"
"Let me see..." Yue browses the menu for a while, but she is indecisive.
"Will you pick something before we fall asleep?"
"Um, I don't know, it's hard to pick..."
"Just choose one, Shen Yue! - he chuckles.- How hard can it be?"
"Alright, this one then!"
"If it's a bad movie, you'll have to be punished!" he says serious.
"What? What kind of punishment?"
"Hmmm... I'lI think about it... Come here, let's watch."
Dylan stands up and sits back on the couch. Yue follows him and, without even thinking about it, lies her head on his leg. Amazing... He immediately starts caressing her soft hair.
It turns out that Yue chose "The Notebook", one of the most romantic movies of all time, although she had no idea because she has never watched it.
