Desperately trying to calm your raging heartbeat, you watched as your captain walked away from you, his body framed by bright sunbeams. Shaking your head in disbelief about him just waking away like that without helping you up, you finally managed to pull yourself up on your shaky legs. Something about him just leaving made you angry. Granted, nothing else was expected from the seemingly cold hearted captain and you couldn't even explain as to why it was that you expected your captain to possess basic human decency. A shiver went through your whole body as you breathed in deeply, still thoroughly enjoying the fresh morning air.
With a sigh of relief that the fight was over, you greeted Jean, who was looking at you with slight pity in his eyes.
„Stop giving me that look Jean, I'm fine.", you laughed, playfully punching his shoulder. „Oh shut up, i can see how disappointed you are.", he scoffed and snaked his arm around both your shoulders. He was right. It did hurt your pride a lot. To be fair, you weren't exactly in top form, as something about Levi seemed to have distracted you quite a bit.

You swallowed harshly. This wasn't good.

Shaking away the thoughts in your head, you let Jean guide you to the other cadets who already had made it back to the courtyard, along with their superior. Your heart sank as you saw your captain stand in front of the crowd. You were so sure you'd beat him, but you didn't. Something made you so desperately want to be better than him even thought you knew you were just a simple cadet. He made you angry, a single glance of his and anger creeped up in you. Something about him just bothered you so much, but you couldn't quite figure out what.

„That's it for today. In the mess hall, you'll find a list of duties to be done until this evening. I expect perfection. Dismissed.", Levi's stern words interrupted your train of thoughts, startling you quite a bit. Just as you were about to catch up to Jean and his friends again, you heard that dreadful voice of his again. „Oi Brat." you didn't stop walking, annoyance and irritation boiling in your stomach. All you wanted was to go eat breakfast, yet your captain had to ruin your plans again. „I didn't say you could leave.", he growled, as you still didn't stop walking despite him now calling for the second time, instead even picking up your pace a bit.  What was he going to do about it?
You didn't care. You were so angry about how you'd be his little puppet for the next couple of days to come, that you managed to completely shake away the rest. „Fucking brat.", the captain mumbled as you felt a strong shove from behind, resulting in you being slammed into a tree.
„Why thank you captain for this friendly gesture.", you scoffed, feeling the rough tree bark digging into your sensitive skin. „You're welcome.", he growled, dangerously close to your ear, still having you pinned tightly to the tree, both your wrists in his hand, twisted on your back. The captain tightened his grip around them, trying to make you even more uncomfortable. „Let me go.", you demanded, growing very aware of the building tension between the two of you. You heard the captain just scoff at your statement, as he always did. There was nothing you wanted more than to escape.

„In your dreams, cadet. Before I can let you go, i have to make sure you understand every single thing I'm about to tell you. Are we clear so far?", he spoke lowly, trying to not catch any unwanted attention. You just nodded reluctantly; suddenly very afraid of the man behind you as you've never witnessed him being that angry. „Good. Before I continue, have you held your promise?", the male asked, poison lacing his voice. You felt your confidence falter and your knees weaken as he still had you pinned up against the tree, his body pressed so firmly into your back, you could feel the outlines of his toned muscles which made you shiver and your stomach churn. Levi on the other hand seemed to be unbothered by the close proximity between the two of you.
Yet again, all you managed to do was nod, still having no energy to talk. The fight certainly drained you more than it should have, which exactly showed what the difference between the captain and you was. You both were incredibly strong but he had the strength to last way longer than you.
