Minho felt disgusted.

Belittled.

He hated being at the mercy of Xiàn Huá. But after today, Felix and him would no longer have to worry as he was getting them out of here — one way or another. Minho shuffled through the corridor, slow, hia hands shoved into the front of his pockets, delaying his way towards  class where the rest of the orphanage aged seventeen to eighteen  were located. They grouped most of the learning criteria by age. Which in all honesty was crap cause everything they were learning was stuff Minho studied on his own when they were given the luxury to leave the orphanage compound. He would use his little bits of money that was earned from chores, to buy advanced learning books. So, theoretically he was genuinely bored in the class. Couldn't skip because otherwise they'd be punished and to be honest Minho don't like that route, so off to the class he went.

Taking his usual spot by the door. This wasn't unusual for him, while most dream of being by a window pretending to be a main character of some cliché novel, Minho loved being the first person out the door as soon as the bell chimed to leave for lunches or end of classes, to avoid being smothered by the other orphans and more importantly, avoid Xiàn.

He just felt safer being at the door. The door resulted in my exit of this orphanage. Now, he didn't hate the teachers or anything even though they could be ignorant jerk heads, it was the other kids that resulted in him hating being here. They voided Minho like he was a plague, eyeing his every movement. He was generally cold to anyone who even made a pass. He was only here for Felix... And Seungmin who took care of his little brother while he couldn't be by his side. A silent call if you will, he just had to look at Seungmin and he would nod in confirmation Felix; his little brother would be okay. So, he was at ease knowing he would be safe with him. All except for when Xiàn Huá was around, then it was Minho taking the front line.

He quietly sketched doodles bored waiting for class to begin, his skin still burned from the gross sensation of what happened earlier. Minho even tried scrubbing his skin from the unwanted touches, no matter how much he tried washing, he felt dirty. Red marks covering his skin from scratching so hard, the skin rubbed raw underneath the uniform. It reminded him when he was just a kid, what would happen when his father came home looking for some sort of distraction. His arms marked with scars, that no one would bat an eye at anymore. Thankfully, it was autumn so long sleeves were allowed. He continued scribbling random circles, swirling making clouds. Sketching a horizon line creating my hillside. Minho always enjoyed letting his mind run with the simple doodles. This time being a hill side that called out to his freedom that Felix and him would have in the next twenty-four hours.

Minho smiled sheepishly to himself, checking the time and even timed it that he put his scrap drawing away as the teacher walked in with a scowl. She seemed to be in a bad mood. Her hair done up in a high professional bun. Gel sticking to the curve of her skull, no hair out of place, even with a pen stuck in the bun, precisely in place. Her black rounded glasses on the bridge of her nose. Her perfectly iron khakis and tucked-in blouse.

"Pull out your math book, turn to page sixty-seven and we will correct everyone's errors." She spoke with a monotone voice. No lively voice to be seen like a choatic river, but dead like a desert has run dry. The students around obeyed, and Minhk sluggishly pulled his book out as well.

It was nearing evening, the remaining kids going to their confined quarters before curfew. Felix laid talking to Seungmin, with whispers and small giggles. Sitting against the wall where his bed was Minho could genuinely see how much Felix was attached to Seungmin, however after today we would never see him again. He felt bad pulling Felix away from the one thing that made him happier, but he wanted their lives to be outside these walls. He watched as one by one lights started to shut off. He laid under the covers pretending to be asleep as per the usual routines this time his satchel tucked into his chest. Felix shuffled on his own bed as Seungmin went up to his bunk just before the male head of their dormitory came in checking to see all of them were accounted for. With an exasperated sigh the light was shut off and the door was shut.
