"WAIT... WAIT." Grady stopped pacing around the living room and finally looked at her. "How did this happen again?"
Sophie sighed glanced a pleading look at Edaline, she smiled in reassurance.
"Grady, Sophie must be very tired now, why don't we discussed this in the morning?"
Grady opened his mouth to argue but Sophie was already up the stairs and into her room. She finally looked at herself in the mirror, the flu orange boa was still around her and her cheeks looked flushed, her hair was sticking out in all directions but more than that she looked... Happy.
She flopped on the bed finally taking the boa off, she slipped into sleep thinking about ice blue eyes and just one thought lingering in her mind.
She had found her Soulmate. Keefe Sencen was her Soulmate.★★★
Keefe hadn't bothered to tell his parents about Sophie. It wasn't because of anything in particular but because he knew they would ruin it... and possibly- No, most definitely make her run away.
He put on the night blue blazer and yellow tie, he had stopped doubting his school's fashion choices a long time ago. Thank the stars he looked good in everything.
"Your blazer is wrinkled."
Keefe stopped walking towards the door and sighed, he wanted to say,
Yes he knew it was wrinkled and it is mainly because I want to annoy you.Instead he glanced at where his perfect-down-to-the-hair parents were sitting. His father was looking down at the newspaper and his mother was running her gaze up and down on him.
His mother smiled and made her over to him, she reached out to flatten his hair but Keefe bent down and doged her. "Not the hair."His mother sighed, "At least tuck your shirt in. And I'm sure your father would love to know what happened last night at those Vacker's party..."
Keefe froze, he couldn't quite place his mother sometimes. With his father he knew all he even felt was a disappointed layer after another but with his mother...
There were times when she was nurturing almost but Keefe knew that everything was fake. Every breath. Every word out if their mouth. Fake.
He stared at her though, she couldn't possibly know about Sophie..."Gotta go, going to be late for school!"
And he dashed out the door without a second glance at them.★★★
"Your acting weird," Keefe told Fitz.
Fitz kept his gaze on the road. The first thing Fitz had done after turning eighteen was get his driver's license. He said that it was too earn more "maturity" but Keefe knew it was because he didn't want to carpool with Biana.Keefe narrowed his eyes at his best friend, normally they would talk about all sorts of stuff, argue even but today Fitz was especially silent and the only thing that had happened was....
"Wait... It's not because of Sophie is it?" Keefe couldn't possibly see what was wrong with that but from Fitz's sigh he could tell something was wrong.
"It's not because of her. It's just... Your my best friend Keefe and Sophie... I've known her for a long time and it is driving me crazy about the fact that you two haven't met. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed in myself."
Keefe couldn't help it he bursted out laughing, he should have been glad Fitz was driving or he was sure he would've smacked him.
"You know I expect my best friend to at least pat me on the back and say-" Keefe interrupted him.
"Why are you so taken up about that? Dude it makes no sense whatsoever. So big deal I didn't meet Foster but that doesn't make it your fault. I mean you still haven't met Miss Contacts." Keefe let his worries go and settled back into the car seat. "The world is a weird place."
They finally pulled up into the driveway of Foxfire. Fitz nodded as he closed the door and locked it, instantly a thousand eyes turned towards them but Keefe was too busy searching the crowd to care.
"How did you say Foster arrived?" When he didn't answer Keefe looked at him, Fitz was raising his eyebrows with a slight smile at his face.
"What?" He asked him as he caught the bag Fitz threw at him.
"You met her yesterday, Keefe. Give her some time to process it all. Look, I know Sophie and she dosen't do well under pressure and she certainly dosen't do well under attention."
"What could possibly attract attention for me searching for her...." Keefe trailed off as Fitz pointed to the dozens of girls shrieking as they passed by.
Keefe sighed. "At least find Biana for me."Keefe waved to him as he went to find his ditiching spot.
★★★
Foxfire was for the elite. At least that's how his father put it, and it was made out of glass pyramids and coloured sections. Glass pyramids and coloured sections that Keefe didn't care about. Classes that made him learn stuff he wasn't particularly keen on.
So normally Keefe hung out in his ditching spot till the day passed by him and the only thing that could get him up was the lunch bell and the school end bell.
He kicked every wall as he passed by, he didn't even know why he was mad. He knew he was a tinsy bit jealous on knowing that his best friend knew more about his soulmate than he did. He was mad at his parents. He was mad that he couldn't go find Sophie-
"Foster?"
