Elliot's POV

I picked Olivia up and greeted her mother. Liv was right she seemed happier like a light had been shined on her. Liv looked beautiful she had on an off the shoulder white top and her hair was flowing beautifully. We reached the park and I set down a blanket for us to sit on and I had bought some food on the way over for us to eat. We sat, she said "This is so great, what made you want to do this?" She smiled and I said "I wanted to do something special for us kinda like a first date." She laughed and "Ouuu so we're dating??" I knew she was messing around with me I laughed and said "Funny liv but yes we are." She continued "are you sure because you never asked me to be your girlfriend?" She was enjoying this way too much with all her giggles. I laughed and said "Really? I thought saying I love you more than anything else was clarification enough but you're right so Olivia...will you be my girlfriend?" She smiled and said "Uhhhh I guess." I looked at her and started tickling her "you guess? Haha not funny benson." Her laugh made my heart stop she was just so beautiful. As I was on top of her tickling her I stopped and it was silent she looked at me and said "I'd love more than anything to be your girlfriend." I smiled and as she laid on the blanket I placed a tender kiss against her lips and said "You're so beautiful. I'm so lucky to have you." She turned her head away trying to hide her blushing. She says "I'm the lucky one." She kissed me and then we went onto eating.

Elliot's POV

The sun had gone down it was dark now and we laid staring at sky enamored by life. I loved being here with her. I loved her. As we laid there I said "I wonder how mom and dad are doing up their?" She turned her head to look at me and said "I'm sure that they are doing great and are continuously watching over you." I am in love with her I thought to myself. The way she comforted me, and helped me see some sort of light. "I love you Olivia and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." She turned to me and said "I love you too and we will spend the rest of our lives together no matter what happens." She intertwined our hands. I spoke "Do you promise? Because Olivia I can't take another heartbreak, I don't think I'd make it through if I lost you." She sat up and I sat up to "I'm not leaving you. Ever. Even if the sky was falling I'd be right here. Come on be happy think about how we're officially boyfriend and girlfriend." I smiled and we stood up, we held each other and danced slowly. "So on Monday I can run around tell everyone you're all mine? That I manage to get the prettiest girl in school?" She smiled against my chess "I'm not the prettiest girl at school and yes you can tell everyone but how will Justine feel about this?" Justine she mentioned Justine and I remembered I said I go out with her today. I say "I don't know and I just remembered I said we would see a movie today." Olivia let go of me and kind of distanced herself. I shouldn't of said anything I thought to myself, "Olivia I didn't mean to ruin this. It doesn't mean anything we had those plans long before we fixed anything and it wasn't like a date it was just friends." She nodded her head but I knew she was still upset. ruined it again. "Liv I'm not doing this again, they were old plans. So old I didn't even remember because I wanted to be with you my girlfriend." I put my hand on her chin and turned her face to me, "liv just look at me." She looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "Why is there always something that seems to ruin the good things between us? Why'd you make plans with her?" I say "Liv it will only ruin us if we let it okay? I love you, I'm here with you and I want to be." I pulled her closer and placed a kiss on her lips she kissed me back then pulled away "I should probably get home now." She was still on the edge about it.

Olivia's POV

Today was going so great until he said he originally had plans with Justine. I don't know why it's bothering me so much but it is. Why can't things ever just be good between us? "I should probably get home now." I don't want be mad at Elliot things were going so great but I should just get home now. "Oh okay...Can I walk you home?" I didn't want him too I felt like I needed to clear my head and figure out my emotions. "please?" he asked, "yea sure" I said although I definitely needed to be alone.
*The walk home*
"Did you have a good time today? Elliot asked "Yea.. yea I did," I said shyly. We reached in front of my house and it was time to say goodbye. "Thanks for walking me home. I'll see you at school on Monday." I turned to walk to my door but he pulled my arm back and said "That's it really? That's not it for me Olivia, I had a great time today and me having stupid FRIENDLY plans with Justine didn't ruin it. Being with you makes me feel whole again don't let this ruin what we have. I love you and I'll see you Monday." He turned to walk away and I said "I love you too." He turned and smiled then walked away. I entered my house and it looked as though mom wasn't here. I looked around for a note and found on the kitchen counter. The note said: "Hey liv, I decided to go out today just so I could feel wholesome. I've been missing outside so I'll be home a little later. I hope you had a good time out with Mr. Elliot I love you." I smiled at the note and went upstairs to my room. I laid down on my bed and just thought about Elliot. I wish my mom was here so I could tell her all about what happened, ask for some motherly advice. As I laid there my phone went off, it was Elliot texting me.
*Text Messages*
El: "Hi I'm home now I was wondering if we could just text each other?"
Liv: "Yea we can and I'm glad you're home safe. Is don there?"
El: "No he caught a late night case he left a note."
Liv: "My moms gone too. It's kind of lonely but..."
El: "It's super lonely. At least I have you."
El: "Do I have you?"
Liv: "You have me."
El: "I'm sorry about today, all I wanted was a nice evening with just the two of us but I managed to mess that up. The plans meant nothing they were made the day she kissed and I didn't want to be a jerk and say no. It meant nothing I swear."
Liv: "You don't have to explain, I believe you if you said it meant nothing. I had a great time today anyway and I'm really glad we got to see each other, let's just forget about the last part and remember when we said we will spend the rest of our life together Okay?"
El: "Okay I'd love that, so since we will be spending the rest of our lives together maybe we should talk about this from now, how many kids do you want?"
Liv: "Kids wow you're moving fast lol I think I'd just want one a boy."
El: "A boy? Okay I always wanted a girl and just one kid? Hopefully that will change over time."
Olivia laughed and said "Hopefully. I love you Elliot."
El: ILY 2 liv forever and always."

Olivia and Elliot ended up calling each other and spending the rest of the night on the phone whispering sweet I love you's. Olivia fell asleep first then shortly after Elliot. Olivia had decided to let go of the Justine thing because she knew she loved him and wasn't going to let a little thing break them up. They had a journey to embark on and there was going to be a lot of bumpy roads. Is there love strong enough to make it through? We will see.
