"So what now?" Juliana asked. Jay thought for a minute before grabbing his keys.

"Well we should probably go and get an ultrasound and some other tests done to make sure the baby is healthy. Oh and some prenatal vitamins." She nodded at his reasoning, glad and surprised at how he was handling this.

"Okay, then what?" She asked.

"Then we can do whatever you want." She smiled and nodded. Jay led her to his car and she got into the passenger seat.

"What about my Jeep?" She asked. He laughed.

"We're coming back, Juliana. It's not like were moving or anything." Juliana stuck her tongue out at him and he drove off.

~~~
The two walked into the Baylor together and Jay rang the bell at the desk. An older blonde woman emerged from behind the desk and gave them a big cheesy smile.
"Hello there! I'm Suzanne, what can I help you two with now?" Suzanne pulled out her clipboard and readied her pen.
"Hi there. I'm Jay, this is Juliana. We -erm- we need a couple of pregnancy tests run." The woman's cheek twitched and Juliana saw a hint of disapproval in her eyes.
"Yes, of course. I'll let the doctor know. Why don't you guys take a seat?" Juliana nodded and allowed Jay to lead her to a seat in the waiting room. She sat slowly and crossed her hands in her lap.
"Juliana." Jay whispered. She looked over at him.
"What is it?" She asked. He pointed to her legs. Following his gaze, she laughed and saw that her legs were crossed and bounced up and down quickly. Jay smirked at her.
"Nervous?" He asked. His tone was cool and collected.
"Aren't you? This is a child inside of me."
"Of course I'm nervous, Juliana. Neither of us have really had a baby before." With a chuckle, he grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly.
"Well, except in health class." She tried to joke. The little plastic baby simulator was a 12 hour assignment to see how well you take care of a baby.
"You took it? How did you do?" Jay asked. Juliana blushed.
"I got a hundred on it." He laughed.
"Of course you did. You seem like a really smart girl." Juliana blushed a deeper crimson and felt her ears get hot.
"Thanks Jay." Juliana tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and looked up to the sound of their names being called.
A man with orange hair and freckles stood with a wide smile on his face. With one arm he held the door open and in the other was a clipboard.
"Right this way." He said to them. Juliana smiled at the nurse and they followed him into a large white room.
"Wait right here please. The obstetrician will be right in."
"Thank you." Jay spoke, never taking his gaze off of Juliana. Once the door closed, Juliana lifted her head and looked around.
The walls were a bright and sterile white, almost to a point of hurting her eyes. A large hospital bed was positioned in the middle of the room across from Juliana and she noted all of the machines and equipment stashed in every nook and cranny.
The door opened and the two twisted their heads around to see the new figure in the doorway.
A brunette who couldn't be any older than 20 stood in light pink scrubs at the door, her doe brown eyes sparkling kindly. Her lips were painted a dark red tint over her bright white teeth.
"Hello Juliana, I'll be your obstetrician. I'm Kasey." Juliana stood and shook her doctor's hand loosely.
"Hi Kasey. So, um, what do you need me to do exactly?" She looked around the room and Kasey laughed slightly.
"Well first in going to do an ultrasound and then we'll go from there, okay? Climb up on the bed for me please." Doing as she was told, Juliana climbed onto the bed and rested her head against the pillow.
"Good. Now roll up your shirt so I can see your belly. Just a heads up, this might be a bit cold." Kasey squirted the gel onto Juliana's stomach and she shivered. A wide smile grew on the doctor's face and she pointed to the screen.
"See that little white dot? That's your baby right now. You're only a few days along so you must be really susceptible to symptoms." Thinking back to the morning sickness, Juliana shook her head rapidly, earning a chuckle from Jay.
"So that's the baby." Jay spoke almost inaudibly. The shock was prominent in his voice. A tear slipped down Juliana's face. She was a mother. That was her child. Their child.
"Congratulations you guys. You're going to be parents. We can do some other tests when the baby is a bit bigger, but for right now I want you to come back for check-ups every two weeks and I'll set you up with some prenatal vitamins and a guideline of what you can and can't do. That means no drinking or smoking or anything dangerous to mother or child." Kasey grinned at them and wiped off Juliana's abdomen before printing out an ultrasound image and handing it to Juliana.
"Thank you, Kasey." Juliana said sweetly. Jay wiped the stray tear from her cheek and she smiled up at him briefly.
"Your welcome. I'll also look into some classes for you two, but until then just take it easy." They all said goodbye and hugged before picking up their items and leaving. Jay drove back to the house with a large smile on his face. Juliana lounged back in the passenger seat and traced the photograph with her fingers.
